I know, I know. You're probably getting tired of hearing about my Lifetime Spring Break stories. But, I can't help it! There were just too many to share. But, I promise, this is my last one...at least for Spring Break 2009. :)
The weather during Spring Break was absolutely gorgeous. We spent practically every waking minute outside. So, it was no surprise that my kids wanted to eat lunch outside on the little tiny condo balcony one day. (And, I do mean tiny!)
At home, my kids eat outside quite often on their own little kids' picnic table. But, the only patio furniture at the condo were tall, bar-height chairs designed so you could see over the railing to view the ocean...not exactly conducive for short, fidgety kids. So, we had to improvise. Sure, we could have just let them eat on a blanket on the ground, but they wanted a table. Never fear, Grandma (or Mammy, as my kids call her) to the rescue! My Mom pulled out her Lifetime Personal Table and set it at the lowest height. (Oh, I forgot to mention, she packed that table, TOO!) Voila! We didn't have any kid-size chairs, so my daughter simply stood to eat and my son ate on his knees. It certainly wasn't ideal for every meal, but it did make for a fun lunch treat one day.
Aaah, basking in the sun and watching the waves roll in while sipping a Capri Sun...doesn't get much better for a kid!
