I may not be quite as sharp as the CSI team, but my keen eyes did spot several Lifetime tables and chairs on last week's CSI:NY "Turbulence" episode! (A rerun BTW.)
Some companies pay BIG bucks to get ideal product placement (meaning actually using or showing the product) in movies and TV shows. You know, like how all the American Idol judges have a giant Coca-Cola cup sitting in front of them every show!? But, sometimes, a company is fortunate enough to have its product used just because it is the ideal product for a scene.
I'm always watching the background shots of various shows, especially home improvement shows, to see if they use Lifetime tables. Every once in a while, I catch a glimpse of one. But, the folding tables and chairs in this CSI: NY episode were pretty hard to miss. Well, for me anyway. You probably wouldn't notice unless you're a diehard Lifetime Products fan. But, the Lifetime tables and chairs definitely were in quite a few scenes at the end of the show.
This week's show was about a murder (big surprise, huh?) that took place on an airplane. So, the CSI: NY team set up temporary offices in the airplane hangar. If you look closely at the tables and chairs they used for their equipment and their interrogation area, they're Lifetime products! It's kind of hard to tell for sure if the tables are Lifetime since they rarely show a full leg shot, but the Lifetime white folding chairs are pretty unmistakable.
It's not like CSI: NY was actually endorsing Lifetime's tables and chairs, but still, I wonder how Gary Sinise liked sitting in a Lifetime chair. :)
