It was such a great feeling when I shared the news yesterday with three lucky people that they were the random winners in our Lifetime Store gift certificate giveaway.  Being able to help make someone's holiday a little merrier is such a wonderful, heartwarming experience.  This giveaway has ended. This week, we asked fans on our Facebook page what product they would like us to giveaway for our final monthly giveaway of 2011. It turns out, when you make so many great products, you get many great answers!  The majority of you wanted us to giveaway a shed.  But, picnic tables, swingsets, raised garden beds, and tables and chairs were also voted as favorites. Oh, decisions, decisions.  Sigh.  Know what?  Since it's the Christmas season and many of you have products from Lifetime on your list that you want to give (either to someone else or just yourself),  I think it would be much more fun to give away gift certificates to the Lifetime Store so YOU can pick whatever product (or maybe even more than one) you want! So, we'll be giving away not one, not two, but ... More

You've probably already gotten this question... but how was your Memorial Day weekend? Ours was great! As you probably read in our recent post, once again Lifetime partnered with the Utah Military Families Foundation (UMFF) to celebrate Memorial Day with our annual "Salute Our Troops" event. We put on a big sale at our Lifetime Store in Riverdale, complete with a free-throw contest, free ice cream, and kids activities-- with the goal to donate 5% of all proceeds to the UMFF. It was a blast! We're excited to announce that we even surpassed last year's donation for this great organization, and raised $1,712! We are proud to have been able to contribute to a cause that helps military families in our own community.  Thank you to all veterans past and present who serve our countr... More

At Lifetime, we  strongly believe that part of our corporate responsibility as a successful business is to support our local community.  So, I am excited to tell you that this Memorial Day we will, once again, be hosting our "Salute Our Troops" event! This event will be held only at our Lifetime Store location in Riverdale, Utah.  On Memorial Day, 5 percent of our proceeds will be donated to the Utah Military Families Foundation (UMFF), a privately-funded non-profit organization headquartered at Hill Air Force Base that supports over 80,000 military families throughout Utah. Lifetime Products is honored to be neighbors with Hill Air Force Base. So, this event is a way for Lifetime to thank our local military men and women - and their families - that sacrifice so much for our community and country.  And, ... More

Recently, Lifetime participated in a program with a Northern Utah paper, the Davis County Clipper. The Clipper told us about a special program where children create advertisments for local businesses in order to win a contest. Because children are a big part of our business, the Lifetime Store locations just had to get involved!  Ask any of our store associates about kids, and they can easily tell you all the kids they have met as their families shop for playgrounds, teeter-totters, basketball hoops, and more. Everyone knows that the best place to get a playground in Utah is the Lifetime Store.  I helped to gather the entries for this contest, it was so fun to see all the entries from kids in our own community. Congrats on all the entrants! They were all ... More

We Went Wassailing...Sort Of
It's hard to believe that Christmas is almost here. We don't really have any big pre-holiday traditions of our own, but we do try to partake in some of the local festivities wherever we live. To help get us in the holiday spirit this year, we attended the annual Wassailfest one evening in a nearby town. You're probably thinking, "what in the world is a Wassailfest?" Don't worry, so were we! I've heardof the Christmas carol "Here We Come A Wassailing" but didn't really know much more.Once I read the lyrics and did a little more reading, everything made more sense!Wassail is a traditional European beverage, popular at the holidays. (It tastes kind of like hot apple cider.) Apparently, wassailing dates back to the middle ages as an earlyform of holiday charitable giving.Peasants would go caroling to each house carrying cups. 30 Years Later
When I was a little girl, my Grandpa made me a very special keepsake gift...a handmade wooden dollhouse, complete with shingles cut from sandpaper. Well, just like a real house roof has to be replaced about every 20 years, evidently so does a dollhouse roof! Afterour four moves, (ok, and 30 years of sun damage, dust, and wear-and-tear!) the dollhouse roof was about 10 years past its prime. The sandpaper shingles were curling up and literally falling off. My Dad and I have been wanting to replace them for several years now, but we've just never got around to it whenever he came to visit from out-of-state. This weekend my parents were here and it was a cold, rainy weekend with not much to do. So, my Dad and I FINALLY started the dollhouse roof replacement project. My Dad's father was the one who originally built the dollhouse...
We Opened A Health Clinic for Our Employees!
You need a check-up with your doctor. So, you wait on the phone to make an appointment that ends up getting scheduled several dayslater. You take time off work... drive across town... sit in the waiting room... see the doctor... and drive back to work. Sometimes it can be a half-day adventure for even the simplest of doctor appointments. Sound familiar? Lifetime knows that trying to figure out how to squeeze amedical appointment into work schedules and school schedules can be almost impossible sometimes. So, we decided to make it more convenient for our employees and their families to get medical care. How? We opened the Lifetime Health Clinic right at our factory! Now our employees can make an appointment and simply walk a short distance to see a doctor right where they work. And, they can bring their dependents, too. Sinc...
