Shed Project Update
Ok, for those of you following my blogs, we haven’t forgot about our shed project. It just kind of got put on the back burner with summer vacations, back-to-school etc. But, we’re ready to start tackling it again. Like I mentioned before, unfortunately, we really only have one ideal place for ashed in our backyard since we have a sloped yard and lots of trees. It will be in the back corner with fence on two sides and trees on the other. If you take a look at the pictures, you can see where we plan to put it and why it’s going to be slightly challenging. We did some measuring the other day. The space we have to work with is really only about 6’ wide before we’d have to start removing trees, which we don’t want to do. A 5’x8’ shed would fit perfectly! Of course, things are never as simple as they seem with our projects. We hav...
Things I Learned When Registering My Lifetime Manta Kayak
Last week, we journeyed to Ohio for our annual summer vacation to visit my parents. While we were there, Lifetime shipped me a Lifetime Manta tandem kayak to use so I could share some personal experiences and reviews with you. But, before we could legally use the Lifetime Manta Kayak in Ohio public waters, we had to register it as a watercraft with the State of Ohio. But, we simply filled out a form with our contact information and kayak information, paid $25 for a 3 year registration (cost may vary with each state), and received our registration number and tag decal. Then, we headed to Walmart to buy the numbers to stick on the side of the kayak. That's it. Done. But, in case you are new (like me) to r...

Can you make 121 free throws in a row? We know someone who did! During the Dicks Sporting Goods Store grand opening event in Layton, Utah, we had a customer at our booth make 121 free throws in a row to set the record and win a Lifetime Basketball System! We also had a child make 95 free throws in a row. Pretty impressive numbers. The free throw contest was just one of the many activities Lifetime sponsored at the new Dicks Sporting Goods in Layton, Utah during its grand opening the weekend of September 16-18. Since Dicks Sporting Goods sells our products, they invited Lifetime to take part in the celebration. This was a great community event that brought out hundreds of people in our local area. The three-day event started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday morning and had a steady stream of customers throughout the weeken...
