Labor Day Fun

Labor Day Fun

Labor Day Fun

I always look forward to Labor Day with such mixed emotions. Naturally, I love having the three-day weekend and having my hubby home for an extra day of fun or to-do projects.  But, it also means summer is officially over.  :(

My son, Nathan, started preschool today so we wanted to spend our Labor Day weekend enjoying the last remaining hours of summer freedom.  We took the kids swimming one day and we also took them to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.  So much fun!  Nathan was tall enough to ride a few of the adult roller coasters this year so that made it even more exciting for all of us.  (Wow, there is nothing more heartwarming than watching your child grin literally ear-to-ear all day long from having such genuine fun and thrills!)

But, just like my last post, our adventure started off with Lifetime!  It’s everywhere!  To enter Six Flags, you have to walk through metal detectors and have your bags inspected, kind of like at an airport.  Behind every metal detector, they had a Lifetime 4-Foot Adjustable Height Table for the security worker to put the bags.  The tables were set at the highest setting (countertop height) so the workers could easily look through bags without having to bend over all day and get a backache.  I was hoping we might catch a glimpse of some more Lifetime tables throughout the park to eat on etc., but most of the eating facilities had permanent table fixtures.  It was still cool to see such a big-name establishment like Six Flags understanding the practicality of Lifetime Adjustable Height Tables!

What I do for a living- First and foremost, I'm a doting mommy of a second grader and a 4-year-old, and a proud wife of a USAF F-16 fighter pilot!  In my pre-children life, I was the Communications Manager for Lifetime Products.  But, once you're a Lifetime fan, you're hooked!  So, after a few years of hiatus, I'm now a WAHM and am happily back on board at Lifetime as a freelance PR Consultant.  In addition to blogging for Lifetime, you can follow and chat with me on Lifetime's Twitter account @Lifetime365 and on the Lifetime Products Facebook page!

Topics I blog about- How I use Lifetime products in my everyday life at home, for kids parties and community activities, as well as inspiring stories... and GIVEAWAYS!  :)

My favorite products from Lifetime- 4x2 Table, 30” Personal Table, Chair, Youth Kayak, and Wheelbarrow.  Although, our Shed and Yard Cart are pretty close favorites, too!

Lifetime Receives Utah Genius Award
I had the privilege of attending the Utah Genius Award luncheon this past week, on behalf of Lifetime, as we were awarded one of Utahs Top 20 companies with the most patents issued in 2009! The awards honor people, cities and organizations with the most patents or trademarks throughout the past year. This past year, Lifetime received 15 new patents! These patents cover a variety of our tables and our fold-up utility trailer. The patents join Lifetime's more than 475 existing patents, which protect our innovations and intellectual properties that our employees worked so hard to invent and design. A crowd of around 500 people gathered Wednesday at Salt Lakes Little America Hotel for this annual event. Governor Gary Herbert opened the awards luncheon with Doug Fabrizio of KUER radio as the keynote speaker. A product reception ...
Lifetime’s Online Store Goes Mobile
BuyLifetime.com, Lifetime's Official Online Store, has been doing business for many years, letting customers (like you!)buy direct for the manufacturer. Over the years astechnology has changed, our product catalog has gotten larger, and even more information has been added about our products all to help you find the information that you want before making a purchase we even have product videos online for you. We've built the site with standards in mind, which has let our site work on a wide variety of web browsers and operating systems. And then everything changed!! People started getting cell phones with the Internet on them! Luckily for us, these devices generally came with up-to-date web browsers (the Apple iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad; and phones powered by Android). Our site looked pretty good on these devices, and...
