Labor Day Fun

Labor Day Fun

Labor Day Fun

I always look forward to Labor Day with such mixed emotions. Naturally, I love having the three-day weekend and having my hubby home for an extra day of fun or to-do projects.  But, it also means summer is officially over.  :(

My son, Nathan, started preschool today so we wanted to spend our Labor Day weekend enjoying the last remaining hours of summer freedom.  We took the kids swimming one day and we also took them to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.  So much fun!  Nathan was tall enough to ride a few of the adult roller coasters this year so that made it even more exciting for all of us.  (Wow, there is nothing more heartwarming than watching your child grin literally ear-to-ear all day long from having such genuine fun and thrills!)

But, just like my last post, our adventure started off with Lifetime!  It’s everywhere!  To enter Six Flags, you have to walk through metal detectors and have your bags inspected, kind of like at an airport.  Behind every metal detector, they had a Lifetime 4-Foot Adjustable Height Table for the security worker to put the bags.  The tables were set at the highest setting (countertop height) so the workers could easily look through bags without having to bend over all day and get a backache.  I was hoping we might catch a glimpse of some more Lifetime tables throughout the park to eat on etc., but most of the eating facilities had permanent table fixtures.  It was still cool to see such a big-name establishment like Six Flags understanding the practicality of Lifetime Adjustable Height Tables!

It's Fall Storage Season - Lifetime Has You Covered
As we welcome in the Fall season, we have to farewell theoutdoor entertaining season at least in most parts of the country. For those of you gearing up for cold and snowy winters, it's time to start packing up your outdoor areas including your pool, patio, deck, and yard. In the next few weeks, plan to cover the pool, clean the grill, and put away everything you wont need again until next summer. Unfortunately, all the things that live in your yard and on your patio during the summer suddenly now need a winter home. What to do with so much stuff? Well, first of all, sort through everything and determine if you really need to keep it. Often times outdoor items quickly get tattered, faded, and broken by the end of the summer and it's better to simply trash it. Or, if it's something you don't use anymore or have outgrown, consi...
Win a Lifetime Adjustable Soccer Goal
This giveaway has ended. Riddle of the day: Which Lifetime product is 8ft tall yet can easily fit in the trunk of a car? Well, actually, it was yesterday's riddle. We posted this riddle on our Facebook page and said if you could figure it out, we'd give the product away. Lucky for you, some (actually a lot) of our fans figured it out! Although we do make 8' tables that fold-in-half to fit in a trunk, technically, they are 8ft long rather than tall. Same with our kayaks. (Although that would need to be a really big trunk!) And, obviously, the Lifetime 8' sheds can't fit in a trunk. So, that leaves the Lifetime 8' x 6' Folding Soccer Goal. Fall soccer season is here (and Christmas is only two months away) so we are giving away a Lifetime 8' x 6' Adjustable Soccer Goal which conveniently folds for easy transportation and sto...
Lifetime Employees Featured on Local Billboard
We all know that smoking is not good for our health. But, sometimes we pick up habits that arent good for us. Well, Id like to tell you about a few Lifetime employees who have taken a huge step to improve their lives by quitting tobacco... and something big that came from it. At Lifetime, we care about our employees' health. As part of our preventive health care programs for employees,a few months ago, we held an internal quit tobacco campaign so Lifetime employees who wanted to quit tobacco could attend Lunch N Learns with the Davis County Health Department. Each week, they would meet to discuss their struggles and ways to help quit tobacco. From this, three of our employees were able tokick their habitandquit smoking! What an accomplishment! Because of their success, Davis County Health Department later approached us askin...
