After dinner, head out and go shopping!

Black Friday Thumbnail.jpgWhat is your favorite part of Thanksgiving? My wife’s favorite part is going shopping! I find more satisfaction in staying home, eating too much, and watching football, but, to each their own. I went one year with my wife and after I got beat by a bunch of spry and motivated ladies while trying to get some sheets, I decided to retire from Black Fridaying (is that even a word?).

My goal is to help you know where you can find our products. With so many different retailers carrying our products, I wanted to help you wade through the mess.

If you’re looking for a new basketball hoop, Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Big 5, and Walmart have hoops on sale. You can get a 50" Portable Basketball Hoop at Dick’s Sporting Goods. At Sports Authority, you can get a hoop ranging from one of our youth hoops all the way up to a 72" Mammoth. Big 5 also has two hoops, a 44" and 50" hoop on sale. And while you’re at Walmart, grab the 46" Portable Basketball hoop!

Has someone on your list asked about a new kayak or paddleboard? While you’re at Dick’s Sporting Goods picking up your basketball hoop, head over and add on a new paddleboard.  You can grab the Groove Paddleboard in either Lime Green or Glacier Blue. If you need a new kayak, which I think you might, head over to Sports Authority. We have five, yes, FIVE boats on sale.

  • Zues 96 in Lime Green or Blue
  • Kokanee in Orange or Lime Green
  • Tamarack 120 in Red
  • Tamarack 120 Angler in Olive
  • Eddy 132 in Red

Check your local ads for prices from these different retailers.

Also, if you don’t want to leave home and you prefer to shop online head over to store.lifetime.com! Black Friday through Cyber Monday the entire site is 10% off! We also have a number of other great offers!

  • Double Slide Deluxe Play set - $2999.99 to $1,999.99

Hope this helps! Be safe while you’re out and about. Remember the people you love most and the true reason for the season! It’s a great time of year!

Water Balloon Fun...1...2...3...Throw!
Summer is quickly winding down. But, thankfully, August is one of the hottest months so there are still plenty of days left to squeeze in some last minute authentic summer fun. Here in Texas, its been crazy hot. Ok, insanely hot something unbelievable like 35 days over 100 degrees before August even started! I was tired of simply heading to the pool or waterpark to stay cool, so the other day I surprised my kids with some good ol fashioned water balloons. Sure, it took twice as long to fill them up as it did to throw them, but it was worth it to see the smiles on their faces and hear their giggles. My son had fun trying to throw them at me, while my daughter just liked dropping them on the grass and watching them pop. I grew up playing with water balloons by having a simple water balloon toss contest. However, my neighbor...
National Basketball Day
Today is unofficially National Basketball Day. It was on November 6, 1861 that James Naismith was born. Thirty years later, Naismith was a young physical education teacher at a YMCA in Massachusetts with bored students who needed an indoor athletic distraction during the winter. Naismith decided to nail two peach baskets to the balcony at both ends of a gymnasium. He divided his students into teams and they attempted to toss a ball into the basketsthe game of basketball was born. According to notes kept by Naismith about the first "Basket Ball" game, the game was played with nine players on each team using a soccer ball. Today, even though the rules and equipment have changed slightly, basketball is played by more than 300 million people worldwide, making it one of the most popular team sports. James Naismith may have inven...
Scarecrows in Our Halls
If you were walking down the halls of Lifetime's world-headquarters in Clearfield, you would notice something a little out of the ordinary-- Scarecrows lining the walls in many of our buildings. Not your average scarecrows... some have one eye, and others are missing important scarecrow features (other than being more cute than scary). There's a story behind them, and what they represent to those who walk down these halls frequently. After nearly 25 years in Northern Utah, Lifetime Products enjoys longstanding relationships withthe local community, and participates in a variety of local events and causes. Just down the street fromLifetime's Clearfield facility andour world-wide headquarters, is the South Clearfield Elementary School. Lifetimehas partnered with theschool on various programs, and they even proudly display a ban...
