photo-4-small.jpgHalloween is such a fun time of year! Who doesn’t love costumes, face paint, spooky decorations – and my personal favorite – pumpkin carving?!

So last night, my husband and I set out on our pumpkin carving adventure. My husband not only carves pumpkins, but he is amazing at shaving in faces, and doing all sorts of cool stuff. Over the years, he has helped me get more and more into it as well.

photo-3-small.jpgSince I knew this was going to get pretty messy, I didn’t really want to use my wooden kitchen table, so I decided to pull out my trusty 4-Foot Fold-In-Half Lifetime Table. We live in a smaller apartment, so this is the perfect table for us. It is super easy to store and fits perfectly in our small kitchen. I also have a couple Lifetime chairs which are great for this kind of mess – while still being comfortable to sit in for hours.

Knowing this was going to go up on our Lifetime blog, I figured I’d maybe carve a Lifetime logo or something into the pumpkin. Seemed like a good idea….well, let’s just say I got a little carried away and decided I’d try carving the face of our V.P. of Sales and Marketing along with the logo. I realize this is a risky idea, but thankfully he has a good sense of humor. :)

Vince-Picture.jpgWell, personally I think it turned out pretty good – especially since this is my first try at this kind of pumpkin carving. But the best part was that we were able to clean up our place in less than 10 minutes. The Lifetime tables and chairs cleaned up so easily. I just wiped off the plastic with my kitchen dishrag and put the products back in my closet – so easy. If we had used my padded kitchen chairs, they would have been pretty horrible to clean.

Anyways, if you love pumpkin carving as much as I do, I highly recommend getting yourself some Lifetime tables and chairs. The cool thing is that you can find Lifetime tables and chairs everywhere – Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Lowe’s – just look for the Lifetime logo molded into the product. You can also find a variety of Lifetime products online at www.buylifetime.com.

Happy Halloween!

Free Picnic Table Rides?!
This picture just made me laugh and it begged to be blogged about for an explanation. When you live in the country, fun often comes in strange and crazy forms. This summer, my city-raised son experienced yet another new adventure at Mammy and Papas house in the countrypicnic table rides! (Yes, you read that rightnot pony rides, but picnic table rides.) Ok, probably not the most exciting thing in the world or his most memorable experience, but it was different to say the least. Remember last post I was talking about how easy it is to move my parents Lifetime 4-person picnic table compared to the wooden A-frame picnic table we had when I was a kid? My parents did in fact get rid of the small wooden A-frame table and now use their Lifetime 4-person picnic table for daily use by the pond. But, what I didnt mention is that they a...
Lifetime's New 80-Gallon Storage Box
Do you need to expand your patio storage, but have limited space available? Store your extra things outside in a new Lifetime 80-Gallon Storage Box! We introduced the Lifetime 130-Gallon Storage Box last June and with the great response, weve created a smaller version of this handy product for those not-so-big backyards or those individuals who have less space.Created to store anything from backyard toys to garden tools and hoses, its UV-protected construction, and weather and water resistant seal helps keeps the interior dry. It will not fade, crack or peel. Its rigid, double-wall, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) construction makes the box strong and durable, sturdy enough to also be used as a patio bench and allow for more seating at your summer backyard barbeques! The spring-hinge lid opens greater than 90 degrees, wont s...
Things I Learned When Registering My Lifetime Manta Kayak
Last week, we journeyed to Ohio for our annual summer vacation to visit my parents. While we were there, Lifetime shipped me a Lifetime Manta tandem kayak to use so I could share some personal experiences and reviews with you. But, before we could legally use the Lifetime Manta Kayak in Ohio public waters, we had to register it as a watercraft with the State of Ohio. Ideally, the process should be quick although, unfortunately, the day we went the service wasn't exactly speedy or friendly. But, we simply filled out a form with our contact information and kayak information, paid $25 for a 3 year registration (cost may vary with each state), and received our registration number and tag decal. Then, we headed to Walmart to buy the numbers to stick on the side of the kayak. That's it. Done. But, in case you are new (like me) to r...
