The Official Kick-Off of Summer

Pull out the grill, cook up some food, and watch some fireworks!

LGPT_60030_0813_041.JPGThe Fourth of July holiday will shortly be upon us; the holiday that seems to be the official launch of summer, sunburns, and water fights.

With all the fun comes parades, BBQs, family reunions—the things we look forward to all year long. Whatever the event, you’re going to need seating and Lifetime has what you need.

One of my favorites is the Lifetime 6-Foot Picnic Table. This sturdy table has been on my patio for years. Although it’s foldable for storage, I rarely put it away during the winter and it still looks great. The kids use it for projects, birthday parties, and general mess making (as you know how kids are). But with a quick wipe-down or spray from the hose it looks good enough to use at the family or neighborhood BBQ celebration.

Now’s the time to pull out the grill, cook up some great food, watch some fireworks, and enjoy the holiday!

How to Make an Umbrella Hole in Your Lifetime Picnic Table
Sundaynight was the season premiere of Army Wives on Lifetime TV. I love this show! Since Im a military spouse, there are so many aspects of the show that hit pretty close to home. So naturally, I was glued to the TV anxiously awaiting the fate of my favorite characters. Now, Ive admitted before that I pathetically watch for Lifetime products in TV shows. Well,Sunday night was no different. Wait, wait. I promise Im not going to write about every single time I see Lifetime products on TV, but I just have to share a snapshot fromSunday nights Army Wives episode! Why? Because it highlights a great, yet little-known feature, of the Lifetime picnic table. Check out this first photo. What do you notice? Yep, the table has an umbrella in it! How did that happen? Most people buying a Lifetime picnic table know the tables fold fla...

New Clearview Backboards
One of the great things about working at Lifetime Products is our people. We have a great group of engineers in our Sporting Goods department. Last fall, we were trying to come up with a way to make our basketball system backboards more like the pro boards. With some late nights and a lot of design work, we were able to come up with our new Clearview backboards. What is Clearview? Well, I am going to tell you. With residential systems it is common in the industry to have a backboard brace behind the square target of your backboard. On these systems we use a clear material called polycarbonate or on the higher end systems tempered-glass to make them look like the pro's. However, the backboard braces were blocking your view through the backboard. We wanted to remove the braces behind the target so there was a clear view more ...
