Position at Lifetime Products: Product Marketing Administrator. I am the copywriter and administrator for the marketing department—writing copy for ads, scripts for videos, editing copy, and just about anything else that’s needed of me.  I get to write and edit for a living…it’s pretty much a dream come true!

How long at Lifetime Products: Since May 2012

Topics I blog about: Lifestyle and News

Favorite products from Lifetime: I love being outdoors!  Most of my family vacations while growing up were camping or fishing trips of some sort, and so I absolutely love our kayaks and tent trailers.  There’s just something amazing about getting away from the loud noise of regular life and entering a place that’s peaceful just with family or friends, whether it’s grand mountains or a mirrored lake.  But I'm definitely itching to get my hands on quite a long list of Lifetime Products.

On a typical Saturday afternoon you can find me: My Saturdays consist of at least five things—errands & cleaning, hiking, reading, writing, and spending time with family & friends.  I’m a big fan of relaxing, and the reading and writing is like a mini vacation; a chance for me to go into another world and spend time with my other “friends” for a short while.  Sometimes that relaxation extends into my family and friends time as I catch up on new movies or television shows…I don’t even dare list all the shows I’m fanatic about (Vampire Diaries, Fringe, New Girl, and believe me when I say the list goes on...).   But most of all, living in Utah gives me a plethora of hiking trails.  Taking an hour or two to get away is just the recharge I need.

My favorite escape: BOOKS.  I’ve purchased (shhhh) about $300 worth of new books in just two months and read about twenty of them so far.

Other blogs/websites I can’t get enough of:  I’m a self-diagnosed Facebook addict, but I love reading friend’s blogs, MSN Wonderwall (Yes, I’m a celebrity gossip enthusiast), GoodReads, Barnes and Nobel, Pinterest, and GrammarGirl (a grammar must-know!), and of course my own writing/book review blog: WritingMindCelebrities.blogspot.com.

Planning a Super Bowl Party!
Super Bowl Sunday is a fine excuse to throw a great party. You and your guests can cheer on a favorite team, laugh together at outrageous Super Bowl commercials and last but not least, catch up while enjoying the all-important food and drink. Follow these tips to plan a fun, casual Super Bowl Party: Make your guest list and invite your friends with a football-themed e-vite. They can RSVP and get maps to your home online. Purchase football-themed party goods and decorations at a party supply store. Pick up napkins, plates, cups, streamers, etc in your teams colors. If you are on a tight budget, concentrate your decorating on the table where the food will be served. Prepare the Chili Boats with Fixins the day before the Super bowl and simply re-heat. These savory chili boats are tempting because guests can customize their ...
Lifetime's Deck Box Wins "Biggest" Award
Well, winter is officially upon us. Now that you finally (or hopefully) have all of your summer backyard accessories stored, did you once again find yourself running out of places to stuff all of your patio cushions and pool supplies? Yes? Thought so. Well, then it's time to stop buying yet another tiny storage container to add to your collection already cluttering your deck. Treat yourself to a super-sized deck box instead! Lifetime's new 130-gallon deck box is huge! (So, quite frankly, if you've only got a tiny place you want to put a deck box, this isn't for you.) But, don't just take our word for it. Consumers Digest awarded the Lifetime Deck Box a Best Buy award in September 2009, stating "This unit delivers the most storage capacity of any deck box and includes the best warranty of any horizontal shed that we found. A ...
Playground Safety in Your Own Backyard
With the start of a new school year, parents tend to have a lot on their mind. One topic that seems to come up a lot is playground safety. Although Lifetime doesnt influence school ground safety, Lifetime does make a variety of home playground equipment built specifically with your childs safety in mind. We have rubberized chain grips on our swing sets and playsets to prevent little fingers from being caught or pinched, and all hard edges have been rounded or covered. Our UV-protected, powder-coated steel and high-density polyethylene are heat resistant and will not burn kids on a sunny day like many metal or plastic outdoor toys. Our playground equipment passes all playground safety standards to ensure your childs safety. Our playground equipment is built durable and safe; however, it is also important to create a safe envi...
