Summer is Here!

Primary-Dome-Climber.jpgAs a kid, my summers were always lazy and unstructured. My sisters and I were always sent outside in the morning, and the day was spent trying to find activities to do.  My point is, summer is here and it's the perfect time to purchase some Lifetime playground equipment.

One of my kids’ favorite games to play on our playset at home is “Fish Out of Water.” I sit with my eyes closed, and if I think one of my kids are off the playset I yell, “Fish out of water!” If they get caught, we switch and they have to try and catch me.

swingset-blog-pic.jpgKids love to get a break from school during the summer, and we love our Lifetime playset. The best place for imaginative play and exercise is the safety of your own backyard. The great thing about Lifetime is our playsets are made to last. The equipment stands up to the wear and tear of your children. Also, Lifetime has put some great features into the Swingsets so your kids won't be bored, and will want to play outside for hours. They are incredibly fun for the whole family. From our playsets and swing sets, to our teeter-totters and dome climbers, your children will have fun that lasts a lifetime.

Hobo Pies
One of my Dads traditions at the lake house is to build a campfire outside almost every night. My dad likes to eat popcorn around the fire, but when the grandkids visit, its time to break out the good ol traditional smores! After all, what kid can resist melted chocolate and gooey marshmallows smooshed between graham crackers? For a change of pace forthe kids campfiresweet treats, one night my sister-in-law introduced us all to Hobo Pies. If youve never had a Hobo Pie, youre in for, well, something different from smores. :) First of all, to make a Hobo Pie over a campfire, you need an iron pie maker, available in camping departments. Then, youll need bread and some fillings. In the tradition of pie, my sister-in-law brought apple pie filling and cherry pie filling. First, we lined up all of our ingredients on our Lifetime p...

Holiday Hoop Decor
This past weekend, my husband and I tookour kids to the Christmas Celebration at SeaWorld San Antonio. The kids love seeing all of the extra holiday decorations and special festivities. And, of course, getting pictures with Santa Shamu is always a thrill! We've actually been to the SeaWorld Christmas Celebration the past four years. It's somehow unintentionally turned into an annual holiday tradition for us. While some things like Santa Shamu and the giant Christmas tree at the front gate are always the same, most of the other displays have changed each year. This year, one of the new Christmas attractions was Snowman Village, an area featuring snowman characters resembling famous people. Guess who was the first snowman that I saw?
