Summer is Here!

Primary-Dome-Climber.jpgAs a kid, my summers were always lazy and unstructured. My sisters and I were always sent outside in the morning, and the day was spent trying to find activities to do.  My point is, summer is here and it's the perfect time to purchase some Lifetime playground equipment.

One of my kids’ favorite games to play on our playset at home is “Fish Out of Water.” I sit with my eyes closed, and if I think one of my kids are off the playset I yell, “Fish out of water!” If they get caught, we switch and they have to try and catch me.

swingset-blog-pic.jpgKids love to get a break from school during the summer, and we love our Lifetime playset. The best place for imaginative play and exercise is the safety of your own backyard. The great thing about Lifetime is our playsets are made to last. The equipment stands up to the wear and tear of your children. Also, Lifetime has put some great features into the Swingsets so your kids won't be bored, and will want to play outside for hours. They are incredibly fun for the whole family. From our playsets and swing sets, to our teeter-totters and dome climbers, your children will have fun that lasts a lifetime.

Scrapping old Memories; Making New
Scrapbooking for 3 days straight maysound like a weird form of torture... but even after the paper cuts, late nights, and reeeeally early mornings,I look forward toittwice a year. My familys crazy little tradition is called "Scrapbook Weekend". If youre anything like me; you have a busy schedule, a suffering photo album, talkative friends and family, and an endlessappetite for good cooking. Scrapbook Weekend givesme the chance to learn new layouts, trade materials, or just catch-up on all my photos. Twice a year, all my aunts and cousins (about 18-20 people total) drive to my moms house with cars full photos, paper supplies, and the fixin's for some great food. We load all the food in the fridge, spread out our cutters, paper, pictures and embellishments on about 6 or 7 Lifetime tables, and camp out for 3 days stacking page...
Our Fastest Way to Spread Compost
I think I can finally move again without feeling pain in every inch of my back and arms. Remember in my Great Wheelbarrow Showdown post how I mentioned that my husband and I spread six yards of compost on our front and backyard? Did I mention that I was the one who shoveled absolutely every bit of compost into the Wheelbarrow and Yard Cart? Yep, me and my big buff muscles. Ouch! Anyway, in my Great Wheelbarrow Showdown post, my test results for the best actual wheelbarrow had the Lifetime Wheelbarrow beating out the Lifetime Yard Cart and a traditional wheelbarrow. The Lifetime Yard Cart could hold twice as much dirt as the Lifetime Wheelbarrow and it pushed fairly easy considering the amount of weight in it. However, it failed the wheelbarrow tipping test because once you dump the load, you cant control how much you dump. ...
Happy Picnicking - Inside or Out!
When we decided to give away a Lifetime 6' Picnic Table this month, we thought it was the perfect time of year since it's summertime and the popular July 4th picnic season is just a few weeks away. But, guess what? We learned from your entries that a lot of you would use a Lifetime Picnic Table year-round! Of course, those of you who live in warm climates will use the table outside all year. But, a lot of you who live in colder climates said you would still use your picnic table by folding it and carrying it into the sunroom, the basement for a sewing table or laundry table, or even store it but unfold it for extra dining space during the holidays. The convenient folding feature of the Lifetime Picnic Table definitely makes it a very versatile product. Congratulations to David C. of Riverton, UT. He was the lucky random winn...
