Relax This Summer!

Adirondack Chair.JPGSo the first few weeks of Spring are fun to work in the yard…then, reality hits, and I remember how yard work can be a lot of hard work! One of my favorite products we sell is our Adirondack chair.

This chair is perfect for chillin’ after pulling weeds and planting flowers. Made from Polystyrene – a big word for a type of plastic that is made to look and feel like wood – this chair is great looking! It is low to the ground and has a slight recline so it’s nice and comfortable. The wood-like material is stain resistant, and holds up well in the sun. It looks like wooden furniture, but you won’t have to stain it every year.

You can find our Adirondack chairs at your local Costco.

A word of caution…when you tell your spouse you’ll be out weeding, don’t let her find you sleeping in your Adirondack chair…been there, done that, and the outcome wasn’t so good.

Happy gardening!

Stinky
The basement, after almost two years of work, is finally finished. We are very happy with the way it turned out. This past Saturday I decided to move my tools out of the basement and into the garage, which meant that I needed to organize the garage to fit everything. I have been parking my car out in the driveway for the past year and-a-half because my side of the garage has been used to store stuff from the basement.I strive to be a minimalist but with a wife and two kids you are bound to accumulate stuff. Fortunately, I recently purchased a Lifetime Fold-in-half trailer. Well actually... my dad bought the trailer for himself but I claim it as mine whenever I need it. He also stores it at his house which isnt that big a deal since folds up to only 29 wide. With the wife and kids gone I wanted to get started on the cleaning ...
How to Properly Fill a Portable Basketball Base
Now that you've had some time to assemble that new Lifetime Portable Basketball System you got for Christmas, let's cover a few important things that every basketball hoop owner should know. (Yes, that means this is important for you to read even if you aren't a brand new basketball hoop owner.) Portable basketball systems are convenient. You can purchase a Lifetime Basketball System and be playing basketball the same day. However, when you assemble a portable basketball system, it is important to always follow the manufacturer's instructions very carefully. And, that means right down to the final instruction about filling your portable base. I have seen lots of systems with weights, bags of cement, or bricks on top of the base to hold it down - like in these pictures. This is a big "no-no" and very dangerous. We rigorously ...
Another Lifetime Composter Survives a Bear Attack!
Here's the deal. We're always telling you how tough our products are. Sometimes we use fancy industry lingo like "double-wall high density polyethylene panels" or "exceeds BIFMA standards". I'll be the first to admit, that can get more than a little boring -- even for me. It's much more interesting and believable to hear real customer experiences. Know what? We get tired of doing all the talking so we love hearing your stories about our products. In fact, even we've been amazed with some of the recent "tough" stories our customers have shared with us.Just this week, Michelle and Wayne T. of Granby, MA shared some fantastic photos of their Lifetime 65-Gallon Composter that survived a bear attack! Yes, I said BEAR. Yikes! "My wife and I recently purchased one of your compost tumblers. After about 2 weeks we woke up to find th...
