Two Compost Bins, One Lucky Winner!

dual composter.jpgSquirrels, and mice, and bears - oh my!  Several of you who entered our giveaway this month mentioned that you would like your next composter to be pest-proof.  Well, good news!  All Lifetime Composters are already pest-proof!  That's right.  We've made it difficult for little pests to climb onto Lifetime Compost Tumblers by raising them off the ground.  Our lids securely latch tight to keep the pests out and compost in.  And, the double-walled, high-density polyethylene shell prevents rodents - and even bears - from making holes in Lifetime Composters. Yes, I said BEARS!  Check out one of our previous blog posts that shows pictures from actual customers who have had their Lifetime Composters survive bear attacks!

So, we can happily check "pest-proof" of our list for our next composter design.  But, we'll certainly be looking at ways to integrate a lot of the other ideas and feedback you suggested. Thanks to everyone who shared their ideas and entered this month's giveaway for a Lifetime Dual Compost Tumbler. Congratulations to Thomas C. from Pittsburgh, PA who was the lucky random winner.  If you weren't the winner, you can still purchase your own Lifetime Dual Compost Tumbler in the Lifetime Store Online.  And, don't forget to check out our 50-gallon, 65-gallon, and 80-gallon single bin models, too.

'Tis the giving season.  And, since next week is December already that means we'll be starting our final giveaway of 2012 VERY soon!

Creating a Home Workspace
Where do you pay bills? In a recent survey of my newsletter readers, 43% said they pay bills in their home office/study/den and 45% said they pay bills in the kitchen, living room, dining room or bedroom (the remaining 12% pay bills outside the home). Having a designated home office space makes it simpler and easier to handle incoming mail and paperwork, organize bill paying, and manage your household. But what if you dont have an entire room that you can dedicate for your workspace? In many homes, the kitchen or dining room table does double duty as a home office. The biggest hitch with this solution is that papers tend to accumulate on the table, leaving nowhere for the family to eat! Its not just you who needs to pay bills and manage mail; your children also need a place to do their homework. What if you could quickly se...
It's Fall Storage Season - Lifetime Has You Covered
As we welcome in the Fall season, we have to farewell theoutdoor entertaining season at least in most parts of the country. For those of you gearing up for cold and snowy winters, it's time to start packing up your outdoor areas including your pool, patio, deck, and yard. In the next few weeks, plan to cover the pool, clean the grill, and put away everything you wont need again until next summer. Unfortunately, all the things that live in your yard and on your patio during the summer suddenly now need a winter home. What to do with so much stuff? Well, first of all, sort through everything and determine if you really need to keep it. Often times outdoor items quickly get tattered, faded, and broken by the end of the summer and it's better to simply trash it. Or, if it's something you don't use anymore or have outgrown, consi...
The perfect Mother's Day gift: Kayak Adventures!
Last year I wanted to come up with something original for a Mothers Day gift. I didnt want to go with the traditional flowers, birdhouses, or candy. Showing her how much she means to me and how much I appreciate everything she does is really important. I racked my brain for days trying to come up with something creative, something different and something that could be enjoyed for more than just one day a year. What would surprise her? What could I do that she wouldnt expect? Then it hit me! A kayak!! When Mothers Day arrived she was never more excited! Instantly she began listing off all the places she could go and how jealous all her friends would be. I think the thing she liked the most was that now we could go out kayaking together. Not only did this give her a new activity, but it gave her a fun way to hang out with her ...
