Lifetime Products Profit Sharing
On Feb 6, 2010Lifetime Products held its 42nd bi-annual Profit Sharing Meeting. If youre like me, and dont know what profit sharing is when you first hear of it, let me explain.Profit Sharing is a program where a company shares a portion of the years profit with its employees. At Lifetime, everyone is involved with Profit Sharing and we all get the exact same amount (with the exception of people that have been with the company for less than a year or have not met performance requirements). Lifetimes Profit Sharing meeting is also a report on the company. Both the Lifetime Products President Richard Hendrickson and Owner/CEO take the opportunity to update us on company initiatives, company goals and values, and new products. New Clearview Backboards
One of the great things about working at Lifetime Products is our people. We have a great group of engineers in our Sporting Goods department. Last fall, we were trying to come up with a way to make our basketball system backboards more like the pro boards. However, the backboard braces were blocking your view through the backboard. We wanted to remove the braces behind the target so there was a clear view more ...
Outdoor Retailer Wrap-up
Another year of Outdoor Retailer (OR) has come and gone. For those of you who dont know what OR is, it is the largest outdoor industry trade show in the whole world! It is held in our backyard in downtown Salt Lake City. This year, we also had the industry Demo Day in our backyard as well because it was moved from Jordenelle Reservoir to Pineview Reservoir in Ogden Valley! We spent all day on the beautiful banks of Pineview paddling and talking to folks from all over the world. We were super busy and had tons of people stop by to give our boats a test run! What a day! After Demo Day, the indoor show begins. We spend months preparing and designing both our booth and new kayaks to unveil at the show. This year we went all out, even more than we have in the past. We showcased all of the kayaks in our lineup at the Outdoor Retai...
