Introducing the New Lifetime Water Sports Logo!

Logo Example.jpgWhether you’re new to kayaking or you’re a seasoned veteran, you know one thing about the sport of paddling - it’s fun!  As Lifetime Products grows as a company and we, the water sports division, grow as a category, we want to make sure we make our mark in the paddlesports industry.  To keep us moving in the right direction, we’ve come up with some brand-spanking-new logos to bring the fun and excitement of the sport to each and every kayak we make.  The water sports community is fun, energetic, and unique, we wanted a logo that represented the quality Lifetime is known for, yet exhibited the upbeat environment found throughout the kayaking industry.  And here you go!

The new Lifetime watersports logo is an abstract representation of a kayak in water with elements of fun and adventure.  Our lighter colored kayaks - yellow, orange and lime - will have our blue-based logo and our darker kayaks – red, camo, olive green, blue – will have our orange-based logo.  These new logos are big, bright, and vibrant!!  You’ll still see the Lifetime logo on our boats, but the new logo will be a great accent to each individual kayak name.

Our newer kayaks, such as the Monterey™ and the Tamarack™, will be the first to sport this new logo.  (You can see it on the bottom right side in this picture below).  The rest of the fleet will be making the change mid-fall.  All kayaks in our lineup will sport the new logo going into 2013!  Start planning now so you can get your hands on one of these awesome new logoed kayaks!

Position at Lifetime Products- Watersports Marketing Manager for Lifetime and Emotion brand kayaks

How long at Lifetime Products- Since January 2012!  I came as a packaged deal with the acquisition of Emotion Kayaks where I’d been for over a year.

Topics I blog about- Events and news in water sports, places to kayak, and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family.

My favorite products from Lifetime- Any of the Kayaks and paddleboards.  One of these days I’ll get my hands on a Fold-up Trailer and a Camp and Tailgate Table!

On a Saturday afternoon you can find me- This question will always depend on the season!  When the weather outside is frightful, you can find me at one of the nearby ski resort enjoying the fresh snow and crisp air or snowshoeing through the mountains.  Once the sun is shinning and the birds are chirping, my Saturdays are spent outdoors hiking, backpacking, biking, paddle boarding or my most favorite activity of all, kayaking!  All while enjoying the company of good friends of course!

My favorite escape- Anything whitewater, whether it be kayaking or rafting.  A more relaxing escape would be taking my camera out into the wilderness to photograph everything from wildlife to serene landscapes.

Syracuse City uses Lifetime Products
In Syracuse, Utah, Were lucky to have a community center that houses workout equipment, a running track, double-gymnasium, and has various classrooms and meeting rooms. Recently my fellow web developers attended the Davis County .Net Users Group which was held in one of the Community Centers classrooms. These user group meetings are generally held lecture-style, with the speaker presenting at the front of the room with their laptop computer hooked up to a projector displaying the material on the far wall. In this setup both the speaker and the attendees had plenty of sitting room and table space available. In the room were half-a-dozen Lifetime folding tables, Lifetime folding chairs, and a Lifetime chair cart loaded with even more folding chairs. It was nice to see that my city had taken the time to research the best prod...
What is Blow Molding?
Blow molding. You hear us say it over-and-over again when we talk about our products. But, what does that really mean? In case you don't know, today I'll give you a quick explanation and show you a few photos to, hopefully, help you understand the process of blow molding a little better. Every plastic product that Lifetime makes starts as white plastic pellets, like in this picture. These pellets are hauled in on train cars to our factory. We usenearly 400train cars of pellets per year! The plastic pellets are then pumped to our outdoor silos and then to the building silos. (If you live near our factory in Utah, you may have noticed a new Lifetime logo towering in the skies. The logo is on our newest silo that stores these plastic pellets.) The plastic pellets are then heated by pressure and colored pellets are added at thi...
Stand-Up-Paddleboards for the whole family with the addition of the Hooligan Youth SUP!
Stand-Up-Paddleboarding (SUP)is one of the hottest new trends in the water sports world.Over the past few years, its gone from a small time activity to a huge, world-wide phenomenon.Last season we unveiled our adult paddleboard, the Lifetime Freestyle XLSUP.This season, we wanted to make sure the whole family could enjoy this new and rapidly growing sport. Wescaled down our adult paddleboard, added some new features, and made the Lifetime Hooligan SUP - a fantastic youth paddleboard that fits a wide range of younger paddlers. The Lifetime Hooligan was designed to be extremely stable and easy to use.We wanted to be sure those first-time jitters could melt away once the paddler realized how stable and safe this board really is!This board also incorporates a cutting-edge and exciting design element -a retractable fin! The Hooli...
