Win a Lifetime Driveway 3 Sport Set!

August 2012 contest ended.jpg This giveaway has ended. Summer may be coming to an end, but it doesn't mean the end of fun outdoor activities.  With cooler temps just around the corner, we think it's the perfect time of year to use our newest product - the Lifetime Driveway 3 Sport Set.  In fact, we are so excited for you to try this product with your family that we've decided to give one away this month!  Personally, I love this product because it's so versatile.  Shhh.  Don't tell my kids, but they'll be seeing this product under our Christmas tree this year!

So what exactly is a Lifetime Driveway 3 Sport Set?  It's an all-weather net that's secured to 1.75-gallon portable bases that you fill with sand or water. So, that means no cement, no ground stakes, and no support strings to get tangled in when playing!  But, the coolest part is that because the net is supported by bases, it means you can use it almost anywhere - a driveway, yard, beach, park, or pool.

It's called a 3 Sport Set because the poles actually adjust in height so the net can be set at 61" for Badminton, and easily lowered to 36" for Pickleball and QuickStart Tennis.  These are great outdoor games that are fun for the whole family!  But, you can even use the net for lots of other games too like volleyball… so you could really call it 3, 4, 5, or More Sport Set.  :)

The set includes an all-weather net with poles, two portable bases, four wooden paddles, two Pickleballs, two Quick Start Tennis Balls, and two Paddle Birdies. The set also includes two convenient carry bags:  one for the pole, net, and bases; and one for the equipment.

Ready to get your tennis shoes on and take a swing?  Then, hurry and enter today. Good luck!

Our Chinese New Year Celebration
Occasionally our family likes to take a time out from our usual dinner routine and enjoy something unique from a culture different than ours. Last week, since Chinese New Year was in full swing, we thought it would be a great opportunity to enjoy a part of the rich Chinese culture. Oftentimes we celebrate with extended family or a couple of families in our neighborhood but this year we decided to try something a little more trouble-free and just celebrated with our little family. We started by bringing one of our Lifetime 6 foot folding banquet tables up from the basement and placing it (with the legs unfolded) on a couple of short storage bins. This allowed the table to sit about 18 inches from the ground. Although sitting on the floor isnt necessarily a dining practice in the Chinese culture, some close friends started doing...
Like Legwarmers and Mariah Carey, Recession Gardens Are Making A Comeback
I first learned about victory gardens at a young age, thanks to the stories I read about Molly McIntire, a fictional character who grew up during World War II. Molly and her family grew their own vegetables since crops grown by farmers were needed for the American troops. Well, once the war ended, victory gardens took a back seat to the fluorescent lights of the grocery superstore. With our nations current financial situation though, Im not surprised to see victory gardensor recession gardens, as theyre known these daysmaking a comeback.I recently read that an estimated 43 million American households will be planting their own recession gardens this year. Forty-three million! It just goes to show that lots of people across the nation are catching on to this trendand with savings of up to $5,000 on groceries a year, no wonder ...
