Fresh Efforts To Go Green!

Just when you think things couldn’t possibly get better…they do!  Lifetime is now one of seven busineUntitled.jpgsses actively participating in the Utah Industrial Energy Efficiency Program (UIEEP). The program, which was initiated to help industrial customers increase their efforts in energy efficiency, has already seen massive energy savings.  And that’s not only great news for Lifetime, but for the members of our community.

UIEEP is already taking leaps and bounds to encourage businesses to reduce their energy intensity and emissions, provide training and technical assistance as companies like Lifetime apply energy-saving efforts, and give credit for energy efficiency successes that maximize performance.

As those who know us well can testify, Lifetime has been dedicated to the environment and our ability to reduce, reuse, and recycle—from recycling and reusing our own plastic and metals, to efforts in making our packaging streamlined and fully recyclable.  This is just one more amazing step towards making the earth a better place to live!  And, come on…who doesn’t want that?

Position at Lifetime Products: Product Marketing Administrator. I am the copywriter and administrator for the marketing department—writing copy for ads, scripts for videos, editing copy, and just about anything else that’s needed of me.  I get to write and edit for a living…it’s pretty much a dream come true!

How long at Lifetime Products: Since May 2012

Topics I blog about: Lifestyle and News

Favorite products from Lifetime: I love being outdoors!  Most of my family vacations while growing up were camping or fishing trips of some sort, and so I absolutely love our kayaks and tent trailers.  There’s just something amazing about getting away from the loud noise of regular life and entering a place that’s peaceful just with family or friends, whether it’s grand mountains or a mirrored lake.  But I'm definitely itching to get my hands on quite a long list of Lifetime Products.

On a typical Saturday afternoon you can find me: My Saturdays consist of at least five things—errands & cleaning, hiking, reading, writing, and spending time with family & friends.  I’m a big fan of relaxing, and the reading and writing is like a mini vacation; a chance for me to go into another world and spend time with my other “friends” for a short while.  Sometimes that relaxation extends into my family and friends time as I catch up on new movies or television shows…I don’t even dare list all the shows I’m fanatic about (Vampire Diaries, Fringe, New Girl, and believe me when I say the list goes on...).   But most of all, living in Utah gives me a plethora of hiking trails.  Taking an hour or two to get away is just the recharge I need.

My favorite escape: BOOKS.  I’ve purchased (shhhh) about $300 worth of new books in just two months and read about twenty of them so far.

Other blogs/websites I can’t get enough of:  I’m a self-diagnosed Facebook addict, but I love reading friend’s blogs, MSN Wonderwall (Yes, I’m a celebrity gossip enthusiast), GoodReads, Barnes and Nobel, Pinterest, and GrammarGirl (a grammar must-know!), and of course my own writing/book review blog: WritingMindCelebrities.blogspot.com.

Slam Dunk in Your Pool
I sure hope you had a fun fourth of July! We had a great weekend, but we didnt do anything special or festive other than watch fireworks. Kind of sad... especially since our tradition, when we lived in Arizona, was to host a pool party and BBQ at our house every Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Wed invite our four closet friends and spend the day playing 3-on-3 volleyball and then the guys would throw down a serious game of hoops with our Lifetime Poolside basketball/volleyball system. Lets get something straight. Im not talking about a leisurely game where you splash around in the pool and daintily tap the ball over the net or into the hoop for fear of knocking down the flimsy goal. Im talking about a game of volleyball where you actually have to jump up to spike the ball over the net, instead of simply lifting your ...

Win a Lifetime Storage Shed!
This giveaway has ended. You asked for it so we listened! In December when we asked giveaway entrants to tell us what they would buy if they won a gift certificate to the Lifetime Store, one of the most popular answers was a Lifetime Shed. So, this month, one lucky winner will win aLifetime 7'x7' Storage Shed! We figured it's the perfect time to give away a shed since some of you probably made a resolution to get more organized this year, others are still trying to figure out where to store all their holiday decorations, and a few more of you might be starting your spring cleaning already. This 7'x7' shed retails for $929 in the Lifetime Store online and is one of our newer and most popular sizes. (Whoa! Can you say HUGE product giveaway?) In addition to its convenient size, one of the reasons it's so popular is because we'...
