Win TWO Picnic Tables for Your Summer BBQs!

Win TWO Picnic Tables for Your Summer BBQs!

June 2012 contest ended.jpgThis giveaway had ended. With backyard July 4th barbeques only a few weeks away, it's never too early to start planning the festivities.  We want to join in the celebration fun too, so we are giving one lucky random winner the chance to seat their guests in style at a Lifetime Picnic Table this fourth of July!

This isn't just any picnic table.  This is the picnic table Lifetime invented in 1995 that swept the market and has been flying off shelves ever since.  Why is it so popular?  First, it has a blow-molded polyethylene tabletop that is maintenance free and easy to clean with a solid, one-piece surface so food and utensils can't fall through the cracks. But, what really makes it unique is that it quickly folds flat to store in the winter or to throw in the back of your truck to haul to the family reunion.

If it's hard to envision a picnic table folding flat, check out this quick video to see it in action.

kids putty picnic.JPGPretty neat, huh?  And, guess what?  We even make an identical picnic table that's sized just for kids!  That's right, the Lifetime Children's Picnic table looks just like our adult picnic table and also folds flat for easy storage. But, here's the best part.  Since kids need to have a place for their July 4th barbeque too, if you visit LifeIsASandCastle or any of the other blog sites participating in the Hotter Than Summer blog giveaway event, you can enter to win a Lifetime Children's Picnic Table this week, too!   It may not be fireworks, but that's still a pretty spectacular bang!

Cross your fingers, wave your sparklers… and good luck!

How to Enter to Win the Lifetime 6' Adult Picnic Table:

  1. Send an e-mail to PR@lifetime.com with the subject line "June contest" and your full name in the email message.
  2. Let us know if you plan to fold and store the picnic table during the winter if you win.

Bonus Entries:

  1. "Like"  Lifetime Products on Facebook.  Once you "Like" us (or if you already do), send an email to PR@lifetime.com with your full name telling us you "Like" Lifetime Products and you'll receive one bonus entry.
  2. Follow us on Twitter @Lifetime365 and retweet to your friends "I really, really want to win this Lifetime folding picnic table that @Lifetime365 is giving away! http://bit.ly/KTqHAd" to receive one bonus entry.

The contest begins Friday, June 8, 2012 and will end Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 12:00 Midnight MST.  We'll announce one random winner on Monday, June 18 2012. (Each person may only enter once via email, once via Twitter, and once via Facebook.  Click here for complete contest rules.)

Let us know if you plan to fold and store the picnic table during the winter if you win. Yes, I would. We store everything in the pool house in the winter because we cannot use outdoor furniture due to snow accumulation and besides it is too cold in the Northwoods to sit outside. But it sure was hot today

A Lifetime Social Room
When I was visiting my parents at their condo in Port Aransas last week, I happened to snap a picture of the condo building's social room. It's not that it was super attractive or decorated beautifully (or even decorated at all!) but, it was filled with nothing but Lifetime tables and chairs! Yep, that was it. Four plain walls, seven Lifetime 6' banquet tables, and numerous Lifetime chairs. The tables and chairs are used every Monday morning when the residents gather to eat breakfast, and at various other times for potlucks, game nights, etc. Many residents also borrow the Lifetime chairs to use in their own condos. My Mom borrowed two so she could have extra seating at the dining table since it only came with four chairs. And, she also used the Lifetime chairs at her sewing table. The Lifetime tables and chairs were an ine...
Times are tough, so are Lifetime’s products
The United States of America is officially in a recession. Employers are tightening their belts, employees are doing the same. Lifetime Products hasnt been immune, but theyre much better off than others. Back when Lifetime was started, the founder did so on a shoestring budget. The company grew, not so much because of a lot of marketing or rapid expansion, but because the products featured high-quality components, superior workmanship and construction, and were affordably priced. Other companies grew rapidly, funded by enormous debt from banks who, not so long ago, were all too willing to loan money. But in todays economy banks are very hesitant to loan money. This is hurting those businesses that need loans to survive. Lifetime has gotten to where it is today without acquiring much corporate debt and is much less dependan...
