"Salute Our Troops" This Memorial Day!

flag.jpgCome support our local military this Memorial Day at the 3rd annual "Salute Our Troops" event at the Lifetime Store! The event will be held at our Riverdale, Utah store location ONLY!

Special Memorial Day activities and promotions will be held all day, so bring the whole family! There will be product giveaways, contests, prizes, and more! Frankie from 97.1 ZHT will be broadcasting live from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the store, along with fun activities and contests throughout the whole day.

The great thing about this event is that 5% of proceeds from the Memorial Day sales at the Riverdale location will be donated to the Utah Military Families Foundation (UMFF). UMFF is a privately-funded non-profit organization headquartered at Hill Air Force Base that supports over 80,000 military families throughout Utah.

In addition to donating a portion of the proceeds to the UMFF, the Lifetime Store also offers a 10% military discount every day for all active duty, retired, dependent, guard, and reserve military with valid military ID.

So come “Salute Our Troops” at this family-friendly event. It's a great opportunity for people to get out, have some fun, enjoy discounts and prizes, and most importantly, support our local troops this Memorial Day!

Building Our Lifetime Shed – Step 2
Since its been over a week since I last blogged, youre probably hoping that building our shed really didnt really take this long! Dont worry, it didnt. We were under a ticking time clock five hours of uninterrupted, kid-free work time. Hopefully, we could build the shed before it rained or before we had to leave pick up the kids! We started at 9:30am. The first few steps required simply snapping to...
Life Is Short...So Are Adjustable Height Tables!
In my Spring Break post, I mentioned how my parents crammed their van full and drove from Ohio to Texas to stay in a condo on the beach in Port Aransas for the month of March. Let me tell you, they packed practically everything but the kitchen sink. Literally. Clothes, tool boxes, fishing poles, a laptop, a printer, bicycles, a sewing machine... and even a Lifetime table! Seriously! My mom packed her 4' fold-in-half adjustable height table so she could use it as her sewing table. (Thank goodness its compact for easy transportation because they needed every inch of cargo space they could get.) Mom set the table up right in front of the windows so she could enjoy the ocean view while she sewed. She loves to make quilts as a hobby, but I also took advantage of her skills and had her take tucks in some of my skinny-mini son's sh...
Heat Up Your Fundraising with a Workplace Chili Cook-Off
A few weeks ago, my husbands squadron hosted their annual Chili Cook-Off. Our chili cook-off is simply an excuse for a fun get-together. But, a lunchtime chili cook-off contest is also a popular way to brew up some extra fundraising money for your organization. Follow these simple tips and your fundraiser will be easy as banging a pot. Find Your CooksMake a sign-up sheet for people to participate in the cook-off. If you are going to invite the public or other organizations to attend, consider recruiting local politicians and business leaders to make a pot of their favorite chili. Find Your JudgesIf you are keeping your contest within your workplace, simply draw names out of a hat to pick impartial judges. If you are hosting a more public event, ask well-known community leaders to lend a hand, or actually tongue, to your ev...
