Pin Your Favorite Lifetime Products on Pinterest

pinterest logo.JPGWhat is Pinterest? According to their website, Pinterest is a "virtual pinboard" where you can pin your interests. "Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes..."

Some time ago we started to see Lifetime products showing up on people's pinboards. How cool is that?

Based on how fast Pinterest is growing, and all the cool things people are doing with our products, we thought we'd make it easier for you to "Pin" our stuff on your pinboards! Head on over to our Lifetime Store online, find your favorite product, then click the Pin It button to add it to your pinboard!pin it.JPG

Position at Lifetime Products: Web Developer. What does that mean? I work with the rest of the web team to put great designs into industry standard HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET MVC, and use other techno-jargon stuff to help our customers find what they're looking for, learn about our products, and have a fun time doing it.

How long at Lifetime Products: Since November 2005

Background: You’ve always wanted to know who on earth Joe is, and even if you haven't we're going to tell you anyway! He was born in Weber County, Utah, USA. He is a descendant of Paiute (Native American) heritage and is a member of the Kanosh (Utah) Band. He is a member of various community, church, and civic organizations, and is actively involved with local, state, and national government. He is concerned with customer service and is striving to educate businesses concerning proper “consumer etiquette”. Joe is a Thawte Web of Trust Notary and is involved with seamless Digital Signatures utilizing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and similar technologies. He is a husband and father. He rides his recumbent bicycle to work every day. He enjoys gardening, houseplants, mobile computing, camping, authoring web sites, working in the yard, and spending time with his family. How does he do it all? We really don’t have the foggiest. Some have suspected he’s discovered the secrets of cold fusion, while others think he may be an android. We may never know for certain.

My favorite Lifetime Products: Lifetime Yard cart, outdoor sheds, camp tables, and picnic tables

National Night Out
Last night was a fun night in our neighborhood. We celebrated National Night Out. Apparently, most of the country celebrates this event in August. But, because of the summer heat, Texas officially moved its National Night Out to October 7. Plus, we all know, Texas just has to be different! :) The night is a national crime/drug prevention event designed to heighten community awareness and strengthen community spirit. San Antonio and outlying towns hosted various festivals and events last night. And, some individual subdivisions also hosted activities. Our subdivision celebrated by hosting a block party fully sponsored by our Homeowners Association. It was great we just RSVPd and showed up for a yummy dinner and chance to mingle with our neighbors! A free night out of the kitchenwhoo-hoo! Our subdivision is made up of only 64...
Holiday Entertaining—Hosting an Open House
The holidays always stimulate the desire to connect with people in my life that I have been meaning to spend time with all year long. A holiday open house is a drop-in event and is the perfect solution to have family, friends, co-workers and neighbors over for an afternoon of good food and warm hospitality. An open house gives your guests the option of choosing a time in the afternoon that fits into their busy holiday schedule and gives you the opportunity to catch up with many near and dear in one casual event. Follow these guidelines for the easiest and most delicious open house yet! Happy Holidays! Send your paper invitations 3-4 weeks in advance as social calendars around the holidays can fill up fast. Or send an e-vite via the internet. Guests can get all the information to your open house including a map to your hom...
Relax This Summer!
So the first few weeks of Spring are fun to work in the yardthen, reality hits, and I remember how yard work can be a lot of hard work! One of my favorite products we sell is our Adirondack chair. This chair is perfect for chillin after pulling weeds and planting flowers. Made from Polystyrene a big word for a type of plastic that is made to look and feel like wood this chair is great looking! It is low to the ground and has a slight recline so its nice and comfortable. The wood-like material is stain resistant, and holds up well in the sun. It looks like wooden furniture, but you wont have to stain it every year. You can find our Adirondack chairs at your local Costco. A word of cautionwhen you tell your spouse youll be out weeding, dont let her find you sleeping in your Adirondack chairbeen there, done that, and the ou...
