What Lifetime Table Grades Really Mean

I just attended our annual sales conference last month.  During the conference, the main product categories of our company present category updates and strategic direction.  We also train the rest of the team and the sales force on our product, as well as why we have, and offer, what we do.

One topic I covered during my presentation was the need for different table grades.  Our table grades allow us to sell quality product to different consumer segments.  At Lifetime, we tout ourselves on the fact that we offer the best product on the planet in each of our consumer segments.  We break our folding table lines into four different grades:  Professional, Commercial, Light Commercial, and Residential.

6 foot professional.JPGOur Professional Grade product is our highest specified product, having the highest weight and stability ratings intended for heavy-duty institutional use at places like universities, government institutions, churches or other business use.  These tables are available for purchase only through direct sales channels, including our Lifetime Stores in Utah, and the Lifetime Store online.

6 foot commercial.JPGOur Commercial Grade product is our widest selling product, and it is also rated for heavy-duty commercial use. It is mainly distributed through our wholesale club partners at a great value.  It also has very high performance specifications.

6 foot light commercial.JPGOur Light Commercial product is mainly sold through home improvement stores, but also at other mass retailers.

All three of these table grades: professional, commercial, and light commercial pass BIFMA or Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer Association standards.  But they pass at varying percentages above that basic standard.

6 foot residential.JPGAnd last, but not least, is our Residential Line of product.  These products sell primarily through our mass retail partners like Walmart.  They are quality tables that fulfill a need at a value price.  They are the best tables available at this price and they are sleek and stylish.

All of our tables are manufactured to the highest quality standards.  We simply develop tables at different performance specifications to give each consumer segment and distribution channel the most appropriate product and value to best fit their needs.

What does this mean for you the consumer?  It means no matter your need or intended use, there a great folding table available at an affordable price from the Lifetime brand you can trust.

How long at Lifetime- A small portion of my lifetime has been at Lifetime.

My favorite products from Lifetime- The Commercial Grade 6ft Fold-in-Half Table, and the Contemporary Folding Chair.  I also think the Fold-up Trailer is pretty spiffy – but until I get a vehicle with a hitch, this will not be a likely purchase.

Five S's for Gardening Success
The beautiful thing about gardening is, in one way or another, everyone is a beginner. Even if youve been gardening your whole life, theres something new to learn about growing different kinds of plants, growing in different climates, or dealing with new pests. If youre just starting out and contemplating planting a tomato, rose, or petunia, dont be intimidated. Trial and error are the best ways to learn. For example, I tried multiple ways to rid my yard of moles. I tried baits, traps, and even vibrating mole repellants to no avail. It wasnt until I tried castor oil, that I was able to convince the moles to move away. Here are some tips on getting started in the vegetable or flower garden. Follow these 5 Ss and youll be well on your way to a productive, beautiful garden. SunMost fruiting vegetables (tomatoes, beans, squash)...

Hosting A Backyard Campout Birthday Party
It's been almost three weeks. Whew. I think my husband and I have finally recovered. I don't know what we were thinking but we somehow let our son talk us into a Backyard Campout Party for his 8th birthday. (Sniff, sniff. I still can't believe my little man is 8 years old already!) It seemed harmless enough, but this was his first group sleepover and "no guests' parents" birthday party so it was a pretty big milestone for him -- and us. After he made his list of neighborhood kids and classmates he wanted to invite, the list totaled 12 kids which sounded manageable. After all, teachers do this all the time with lots more kids, right? The kids were all talking aboutthe party for days beforehand. In addition to the sleepover, the other "big deal" of the party was that they all walked home with my son from school. (Come on think...
