Lifetime Kids Picnic Table Gets New Shape

kids oval picnic outside.JPGRemember being young and banned to the “kiddie” table at family gatherings? Now with our new table, you are going to wish you were still a kid. The new  Lifetime Kids Oval Picnic Table takes all the creative features of our adult-sized tables – easy to clean, lightweight, folding for storage –  and miniaturizes it.  After all, what kid doesn't want to have stuff just like Mom and Dad's?

The Kids Oval Picnic Table folds completely flat for storage. And, don't worry, moms - it looks nice so it will won’t distract from the hours spent on making the perfect table setting.

We have been using our kids picnic table a lot at our house. It goes easily from the indoors to outdoors. Because it’s made of the same material as our adult picnic tables, we let the kids color on it or do their finger paint projects. It’s easy to clean once their attention span has been maxed out and they have moved on to making a mess somewhere else.   We have used another type of kids table at our house with separate chairs. Inevitably, the chairs tip over and someone ends up getting hurt. The nice thing about the picnic table is the benches are attached so no tipping-over.

The new Lifetime Kids Oval Picnic Tables will be for sale at Costco Warehouses beginning in mid-April, just in time for outdoor summertime eating. Or, if you just can't wait that long, you can find our original rectangular Kids Picnic Table (available in three colors) in the Lifetime Store online now.

Hi.

Check your local Costco Warehouse. They should still be in stock. You are right, Costco.com only carries the rectangular version.

Do you know if the oval version is still available? I bought one at our local Costco but my mother-in-law wanted it for her classroom. So, I need to buy another one. Thanks!

Hi,

The oval version is not currently available but you should be able to get the rectangular version at your local Sam's Club. If not there, we have them available in three different colors on our web site at buylifetime.com

I am glad you like the table. I have a couple at my house and the come in very handy.

I bought the kids oval picnic table at Costco this summer. We really like the product, but have had issues folding it flat. For some reason the legs(with the benches attached) will not allow both legs to lay flat - one can be flat while the other is raised a few inches from being flat. Since we do not have the original materials for the table, we are looking for instructions or tips as to why this may be happening.

Hi. Glad you like the table. The problem you describe is not typical. I think your best bet would be to contact our Customer Service department who are experts in understanding if it is a faulty table or just being folded incorrectly.

Here is their number: 1-800-225-3865 Opt. 4

I have a friend that has this table and we love it!! I see that you wrote it was sold at Costco, last Spring. Will it be available this year? I have searched the Lifetime website but don't see it on there. We already have the rectangle picnic table, for the kids, but would love to add the oval one, too!!

Hi.

Glad you are enjoying the table. Sam's Club will be carrying the Oval Children's Picnic Table this Spring. The model number is 60093. It should be available in-club anytime as we are shipping our Spring products already.

Can you tell me the size of the table and benches across the top? Like if you were looking down on the top of it? Can you give me these measurements for both the oval and the rectangular versions of the kids table? Im trying to decide on one, and size is a factor. Thank you

Hi, I was wondering if we can order parts for the oval kids bench? My dog damaged one of the benches, and I would like to replace it.

Our Chinese New Year Celebration
Occasionally our family likes to take a time out from our usual dinner routine and enjoy something unique from a culture different than ours. Last week, since Chinese New Year was in full swing, we thought it would be a great opportunity to enjoy a part of the rich Chinese culture. Oftentimes we celebrate with extended family or a couple of families in our neighborhood but this year we decided to try something a little more trouble-free and just celebrated with our little family. We started by bringing one of our Lifetime 6 foot folding banquet tables up from the basement and placing it (with the legs unfolded) on a couple of short storage bins. This allowed the table to sit about 18 inches from the ground. Although sitting on the floor isnt necessarily a dining practice in the Chinese culture, some close friends started doing...

Card Table and Chairs - A Wedding Gift of Yesteryear?
I'm not a wedding expert, but I think it's safe to say that wedding gifts have changed over the years. Or, at least the way we decide what to give as a wedding gift. Today, the happy couple typically registers at their favorite store for gifts they want or think they need for their new home. So, a majority of gift givers simply pick something off the list or give a gift card so the couple can make their own purchase. Sure, this method has some advantages. But, in most instances, gone are the days of creative gift giving. Case and point I can't remember the last time I was at a wedding and saw a card table and chairs sitting there as a gift. But apparently, once upon a time, a card table and chairs was a popular wedding gift. We had numerous entrants to this month's giveaway who said they currently own a card table that was gi...
