New Lifetime Shed Has More Windows and Vertical Siding

vertical siding shed.jpgWe have been busy over the past year developing a new shed. The new Lifetime 8'x 10' shed capitalizes on the experience we have gained from our previous sheds and brings some great new features.

If you are familiar with our sheds, you will notice the overall look of this new shed is different. One of the most noticeable differences is the shed walls now have a vertical siding look.

Next difference? Windows!  We do extensive market research with customers and you told us you like windows. So, we listened to your feedback and added even more windows by putting some in our newly designed doors. Windows allow light into the shed and give it a nice look. The operable window in the sidewall allows airflow so if you are working in the shed you can stay cool.

Another difference in this new shed is the roof pitch is higher. This gives the shed a new look and allows for overhead storage space inside the shed.  We also have included a full-length roof ridgeline skylight which our customers also requested.

From a technical standpoint, we have updated how the shed goes together too. We added a new wall connection that makes the shed even more simple to put together, yet preserves the strength and integrity of the shed.

So, what do you think of our new design?  Leave us a comment and let us know.  Personally, I think it's pretty awesome. It has been fun to watch our engineers stretch as they try to improve on our line of sheds which have already proven very successful. We have pushed them to come up with something new, then something else new, then something else new ... I have wondered at what point I am going to walk into their offices and they say "STOP"! I am very proud of our engineering team and the great ideas that they continually come up with.

If you would like one of these new Lifetime sheds, visit your local BJ's Wholesale Clubs or Costco Canada (western region only) or purchase one online in the Lifetime Store.

Lifetime 65 gal composter very rugged. However, I wish they had a better "labeling system" for parts. They use the same 3 letter code for most parts making it difficult to tell difference in assembly.

I have seen nothing that tells you how to attach the shed floor nor suggestions for what kind of foundation is needed. I some ideas about the designing the foundation but the attaching the shed floor has me puzzled. We are Looking to buy the 11x13.5 shed (#6415). Thanks Michael Houser, P.E.

Pumpkin Carving Fun
For a fun family activity last night we thought it would be fun to do some pumpkin carving. It was an amusing evening that our two boys thoroughly enjoyed. As soon as I left work, I picked up the boys and we drove down to a local outdoor produce stand that always seems to have a great selection of pumpkins, all in different shapes and sizes, each one seemed to have their own personality. I think Josh and Jake changed their minds on which pumpkin they each wanted about eight times. Originally Josh was really set on a small pumpkin just a little bit larger than my fist, (I dont think I have the patience to carve a pumpkin that small), so I had to use my best diplomatic efforts to convince him to choose a different pumpkin. He eventually chose another one-- the largest one out there. Jake also chose one that I am sure outweighed ...
How to Use a Lifetime Fold-In-Half Table
One of the most innovative products that Lifetime makes is the Fold-In-Half table. Our Fold-In-Half tables come in a variety of sizes and shapes ranging from square and round tables to 4-foot, 6-foot, and even 8-foot banquet tables. This unique design allows for easy carrying, transporting, and storage. However, because of this innovative design, you may have questions on how to properly fold and unfold your table. If so, here are a few tips and an instructional video to help you use your table. Lifetime fold-in-half tables have two folding mechanisms a locking clip and an automatic locking system. To unfold a Lifetime fold-in-half table with a locking clip, locate the molded hand slot where the ends of the table are, and pull open the table. Because of the durable design to keep the table securely closed, it may require e...
