Narrow 18" Table Saves Space

Conference Table2.jpgWe all use folding tables for a variety of reasons. Just think of how you use your tables.  You can probably think of a few different uses, right?  At Lifetime, we provide affordable quality tables in all shapes and sizes for that exact reason.  For dining and eating, a standard banquet style table works really well - the 30-inch wide surface provides the right amount of space to lay out the food and still give you room for plates and table settings across from each other.

Now, the question I pose today is what about the times when you just need to display food in a buffet style and you need to keep the table out of the way? Well, a great option for you would be to use one of our 18-inch wide Lifetime Conference Tables as that perfect buffet table for the home, office, or church get together.  This style of table is a recent addition to our wide range of tables already available.  They come in 6 foot and 8 foot lengths.

Now as I was saying, removing 12 inches from the width of the table can mean the difference between having the right amount of space for foot traffic around obstacles that would otherwise obstruct the ideal flow you need.  For instance, in the home, these tables could be put up against a wall or along the back side of a couch as a nice serving table.  Another great use for these tables is for a table that is needed to stay up  more permanently, but still stay out of the way.conference table1.jpg

So far I have mainly been talking about uses for these tables in more of a residential setting.  The name of these tables really doesn't have much to do with their residential application.  As their name suggests, the main use for these tables are in commercial settings.  Conference Tables are also called Lecture or Seminar Tables.  At  seminars or conferences, they can be used as registration tables.  Informational materials and sign-up sheets can be placed on the tables and chairs can be lined up behind the tables for those greeting the event attendees.

Another related use and probably the more common use is as instructional tables.  Tables can be lined up in a presentation hall or smaller room with chairs on one side facing the front.  The tables give just the right amount of room to take notes, to hold laptops, and to hold some drinks or other snacks or materials.  The narrow orientation allows for the most efficient use of space, fitting the largest amount of attendees into the lecture room.  In churches, these tables make for great instructional tables for Sunday School or Bible Study classes.conference table 3.jpg

For home use or for business, Lifetime Conference Tables will give you the features you need to best utilize your space.

How long at Lifetime- A small portion of my lifetime has been at Lifetime.

My favorite products from Lifetime- The Commercial Grade 6ft Fold-in-Half Table, and the Contemporary Folding Chair.  I also think the Fold-up Trailer is pretty spiffy – but until I get a vehicle with a hitch, this will not be a likely purchase.

Wrapping Up the Holidays
My friends and family know that I love the holiday season in fact, its the time of year when my three favorite Gs come into play: get togethers, gift giving and gift wrapping. I absolutely love to gift wrap. Theres nothing better than cranking up the holiday music, making a hot cup of cocoa and rolling out the wrapping paper.Over the years, Ive found that setting up a gift-wrapping station is the best way to stay organized. One year, I almost gave my grandma a necktie meant for my dad. Since then, Im diligent about making sure I set up a proper wrapping station. Wrapping on a flat surface is key, so I break out my 4-foot fold-in-half Lifetime table before I go to work. I use one half of the table for actual cutting and wrapping; the other side houses all my supplies: ribbon, rolls of paper, scissors, tape, and embellishm...
Gotta Love Utah in the Winter
As a Utah native I am allowed to harp on Utah all I want. I do enjoy living here, but Utah has some funny quirks about it. Did you know Utahans eat more Jell-O per capita than anywhere else in the world? Not to mention the weird weather. We can have warm and sunny one day and a blizzard the next or even in the same day. When I was younger I actually snow skied and water skied in the same day. Weird weather was the case about a week ago when my wife and I decided to make a trip down to IKEA. As my loyal readers would know, all two of you, (thanks Mom, thanks Aunt Clara), I have been remodeling the basement for what seems like a lifetime. (No pun intended) We now have all of the major work complete and are starting to furnish it. The first priority was getting the kids toys organized so they could use the space to play in but...
