TV News Story Highlights Lifetime Products

KSL clip.JPGThis past Sunday night, Lifetime Products was featured on Utah's KSL news as part of an in-depth TV story about the business economy in Utah.  The story kicked off a week-long series focusing on the economy in Utah.

It was an informative story focusing on job growth in Utah and the appeal of Utah for businesses.  The story shows an inside look at Lifetime's factory and includes an interview with Lifetime President Richard Hendrickson inside the Lifetime Store.

As we shared last month on this blog, Lifetime recently received a tax incentive from the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) to expand our manufacturing facilities in Utah.  During the KSL interview, Hendrickson talks about our products, vertical integration, and our decision to expand in Utah.

Specifically Hendrickson said on KSL, "We've got the most capable, dedicated, honest workforce," he said. "There were reasons to look all over the world for places to expand. But at the end of the day, with the governor's help, we are right back here in Utah, which is where we want to be."

For those of you who missed it or who don't live in Utah, you can view the entire story on the KSL website by clicking here.

What I do for a living- First and foremost, I'm a doting mommy of a second grader and a 4-year-old, and a proud wife of a USAF F-16 fighter pilot!  In my pre-children life, I was the Communications Manager for Lifetime Products.  But, once you're a Lifetime fan, you're hooked!  So, after a few years of hiatus, I'm now a WAHM and am happily back on board at Lifetime as a freelance PR Consultant.  In addition to blogging for Lifetime, you can follow and chat with me on Lifetime's Twitter account @Lifetime365 and on the Lifetime Products Facebook page!

Topics I blog about- How I use Lifetime products in my everyday life at home, for kids parties and community activities, as well as inspiring stories... and GIVEAWAYS!  :)

My favorite products from Lifetime- 4x2 Table, 30” Personal Table, Chair, Youth Kayak, and Wheelbarrow.  Although, our Shed and Yard Cart are pretty close favorites, too!

3:30 AM came mighty early
Welcome to my first blog post. This week I wanted to blog about my experience at the NATDA (North American Trailer Dealers Association) show in Dallas Texas. Sounds like a thrilling event I know but it was actually quite interesting. I was recently named Product Marketing Manager over Utility Trailer category as well as my other responsibilities of Lawn Garden Product Marketing Manger here at Lifetime. Since the trailer category is new category for me I decided that this show would give me an excellent opportunity to see first hand, under one roof, what is being offered in the trailer market. The show could have been for Lifetime tables too since many of the exhibitors were using them to display their brochures. Backfire I was so impressed and hyped up about our trailers after the show that I purchased a 5x8 Fold-Up trail...
Plastic Sheds
Plastic storage sheds are a must-have for anyone that has a yard. Storage sheds in general help you to keep your tools and other yard stuff organized, out of the weather, and out of the yard. Bags of compost or fertilizer store well in a weather-proof shed, and if you lock your outdoor storage shed these potentially harmful bags can be stored out of reach of children, pets, or vandals. Lifetime plastic garden sheds have some distinct benefits over traditional stick-framed sheds, and dont even get me started about flimsy metal sheds. Wood sheds need to be maintained to keep them safe from the elements. Walls and doors need to be scraped and painted somewhat frequently to keep the exterior weather-tight, shingles need to be replaced every so often. Insects and rodents love wood, its a natural element, they can eat, gnaw thro...
Outdoor Retailer Wrap-up
Another year of Outdoor Retailer (OR) has come and gone. For those of you who dont know what OR is, it is the largest outdoor industry trade show in the whole world! It is held in our backyard in downtown Salt Lake City. This year, we also had the industry Demo Day in our backyard as well because it was moved from Jordenelle Reservoir to Pineview Reservoir in Ogden Valley! We spent all day on the beautiful banks of Pineview paddling and talking to folks from all over the world. We were super busy and had tons of people stop by to give our boats a test run! What a day! After Demo Day, the indoor show begins. We spend months preparing and designing both our booth and new kayaks to unveil at the show. This year we went all out, even more than we have in the past. We showcased all of the kayaks in our lineup at the Outdoor Retai...
