TV News Story Highlights Lifetime Products

KSL clip.JPGThis past Sunday night, Lifetime Products was featured on Utah's KSL news as part of an in-depth TV story about the business economy in Utah.  The story kicked off a week-long series focusing on the economy in Utah.

It was an informative story focusing on job growth in Utah and the appeal of Utah for businesses.  The story shows an inside look at Lifetime's factory and includes an interview with Lifetime President Richard Hendrickson inside the Lifetime Store.

As we shared last month on this blog, Lifetime recently received a tax incentive from the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) to expand our manufacturing facilities in Utah.  During the KSL interview, Hendrickson talks about our products, vertical integration, and our decision to expand in Utah.

Specifically Hendrickson said on KSL, "We've got the most capable, dedicated, honest workforce," he said. "There were reasons to look all over the world for places to expand. But at the end of the day, with the governor's help, we are right back here in Utah, which is where we want to be."

For those of you who missed it or who don't live in Utah, you can view the entire story on the KSL website by clicking here.

What I do for a living- First and foremost, I'm a doting mommy of a second grader and a 4-year-old, and a proud wife of a USAF F-16 fighter pilot!  In my pre-children life, I was the Communications Manager for Lifetime Products.  But, once you're a Lifetime fan, you're hooked!  So, after a few years of hiatus, I'm now a WAHM and am happily back on board at Lifetime as a freelance PR Consultant.  In addition to blogging for Lifetime, you can follow and chat with me on Lifetime's Twitter account @Lifetime365 and on the Lifetime Products Facebook page!

Topics I blog about- How I use Lifetime products in my everyday life at home, for kids parties and community activities, as well as inspiring stories... and GIVEAWAYS!  :)

My favorite products from Lifetime- 4x2 Table, 30” Personal Table, Chair, Youth Kayak, and Wheelbarrow.  Although, our Shed and Yard Cart are pretty close favorites, too!

Win a Composter Win a Lifetime Composter!
This contest has ended. Autumn is finally here a great time for composting all of those falling leaves that are piling up in your yard. What? You don't have a composter? Well, you just happen to be in luck because this month we're giving away a Lifetime Composter to one lucky random winner! The Lifetime Composter is an 80-gallon tumbler-style composter constructed of black, double-walled, high-density polyethylene panels to absorb and retain the heat that decomposes the mixture inside. An internal mixing bar allows the flow of oxygen that is necessary to break down the mixture into rich, organic...
We're Giving Away $700 in Lifetime Store Gift Certificates!
This giveaway has ended. This week, we asked fans on our Facebook page what product they would like us to giveaway for our final monthly giveaway of 2011. It turns out, when you make so many great products, you get many great answers! The majority of you wanted us to giveaway a shed. But, picnic tables, swingsets, raised garden beds, and tables and chairs were also voted as favorites. Oh, decisions, decisions. Sigh. Know what? Since it's the Christmas season and many of you have products from Lifetime on your list that you want to give (either to someone else or just yourself), I think it would be much more fun to give away gift certificates to the Lifetime Store so YOU can pick whatever product (or maybe even more than one) you want! So, we'll be giving away not one, not two, but THREE gift certificates redeemable in the ...
Giving Back by Focusing on Our Future
A few months ago, Lifetime Vice President of Marketing Clint Morris was at an important meeting. It was a meeting focusing on our future. Surprisingly, it wasn't a meeting with one of our retail accounts, or with important government leaders. Instead, he was at a meeting with students at Career Day at a local Utah junior high, sharing his expertise in marketing and manufacturing with our country's future leaders. Lifetime encourages its employees to share their passion and industry knowledge in the community by volunteering to speak at conferences, career days, judging science fairs, etc. For a change of pace with our blog, I decided to sit down with Clint for a few minutes to ask him about his recent experience. What did you share about your job that was the most interesting to students? The part that I felt was most intere...
