Riddle of the day:  Which Lifetime product is 8ft tall yet can easily fit in the trunk of a car?

Well, actually, it was yesterday's riddle.  We posted this riddle on our Facebook page and said if you could figure it out, we'd give the product away.  Lucky for you, some (actually a lot) of our fans figured it out!

Although we do make 8' tables that fold-in-half to fit in a trunk, technically, they are 8ft long rather than tall.  Same with our kayaks. (Although that would need to be a really big trunk!)  And, obviously, the Lifetime 8' sheds can't fit in a trunk.  So, that leaves… the Lifetime 8' x 6' Folding Soccer Goal.

Fall soccer season is here (and Christmas is only two months away) so we are giving away a Lifetime 8' x 6' Adjustable Soccer Goal which conveniently folds for easy transportation and storage. This soccer goal is fully-assembled and adjusts to three different sizes giving your soccer star the variety and adaptability necessary to really enjoy the game. The large setting (8ft x 6ft) is perfect for games with the neighborhood kids, friends, and family, and the smaller settings (7ft x 5ft and 6ft x 4ft) work great for individual practice to perfect those goal-kicking skills.90077soccer2.jpg

It's perfect for the soccer players at your house - especially since we're giving one away for FREE! And, if you're a volunteer soccer coach, it's a large, heavy-duty goal that's perfect to take to the park for practices.  So, ready to enter?

How to Enter:
1. Send an e-mail to PR@lifetime.com with the subject line "October contest" and your full name in the email message.
2. If you've ever owned a soccer goal, tell us what you liked or didn't like about it.

Bonus Entries:
1. "Like"  Lifetime Products on Facebook.  Once you "Like" us (or if you already do), send an email to PR@lifetime.com with your full name telling us you "Like" Lifetime Products and you'll receive one bonus entry.
2. Follow us on Twitter @Lifetime365 and retweet to your friends "This soccer goal folds and adjusts! I want this Lifetime Soccer Goal that @Lifetime365 is giving away this week. http://bit.ly/p9EXIP" to receive one bonus entry.

The contest begins Wednesday, October 12, 2011 and will end Thursday, October 20 at 12:00 Midnight MST.  We'll announce one random winner on Friday, October 21, 2011.  (Each person may only enter once via email, once via Twitter, and once via Facebook.  Click here for complete contest rules.)

I'm more excited about this giveaway than any I've seen in awhile, and I'm a blogger who runs giveaways herself, so that's saying something! Thanks for doing this, Viv

Lifetime makes such great products that last for so long. My daughter wants to start playing soccer, I think this would be great for her to start practicing with.

Lifetime Composter, now available
Theres a lot to cover when you talk about compost. First let me talk about Lifetimes new Composter, available at BuyLifetime.com with free shipping! If youre not familiar with compost, dont worry, Ill cover that further down in this article, too. I saw initial designs and a prototype at a recent company meeting, and being the back to nature kind of guy that I am I wanted one right away, but I had to wait until the product made it to market. Yesterday I was able to buy my very own LifetimeComposter. First off, this thing is HUGE, but it doesnt take up a lot of space. It fits easily in a 4-foot square (the footprint of my old compost pile), and wow, does it hold a lot! 75 gallons or 10 cubic feet to be exact. The theory behind most tumbler-style composters is that by rolling or tumbling the composter every day or so you aera...
Fall Yard Sale Tips
Ive been to a lot of yard sales. At a recent one, I bought a 1921 replica Coca-Cola serving tray and made arrangements with a seller to pick up a refinished oak tool chest that I plan to use as a coffee table. After years of experience buying and selling, Ive also brought home what I call my three Ps for a successful yard sale: Planning, Presentation, and Pricing. Planning is crucial. If you sell it, they will come, right? Wrong. Run a classified ad in your local newspaper. Be sure to include popular and big-ticket items as well as the date, time, and location of your sale. Post a free listing at Craigslist.org also. Then make signs to put up at the nearest major intersections and other strategic spots to direct people to your sale. (Check with your local municipality or homeowners association first to make sure its okay to...
