Win a Lifetime Glider Bench

September contest ended.jpg This giveaway has ended. Aahhhh.  Deep breath of fresh, crisp, autumn air. With the cooler temperatures and beautiful Fall colors arriving, it's as if nature is tugging at your coat sleeves to get you outside to enjoy the scenery.  Sometimes it's nice  - and necessary - to take a break from our daily chaotic schedules to simply relax and admire all of nature's wonders.

With that in mind, this month, we are going to give one lucky person an ideal excuse to cut loose from routine and simply sit outside and unwind.  After all, if you win a brand new Lifetime Glider Bench, it's pretty much a requirement you take time each day to actually use it, right?  We think so.

So, this month we're giving away a Lifetime Wood Alternative Glider Bench.  It's the perfect size to easily fit on a porch, patio, or nestled in a quiet spot in your backyard.  These benches are made of durable, weather-resistant, simulated wood.  What does that mean?  It means you get the beauty of wood without the maintenance and hassle of staining, painting, splintering, or rotting of wood. And, like all Lifetime products, the steel frame has a powder-coated, rust-resistant finish.  Maintenance-free?  Now that's relaxing!

Ready to glide your way to relaxation?  Then, hurry to enter. Good luck!

How to Enter:

Send an e-mail to PR@lifetime.com with the subject line "September contest" and your full name in the email message.

After my stroke 7 years ago, I spend a lot of time home recovering. My mom got the picnic table, but we would loave to spend time outdoors eating lunch and enjoying the cool months in Arizona. I love Lifetime Products

Be a great bench to win- your rules say -must be a resident of U.S. to win. Canadians are consumers of your products too and if we are not eligible for your contests then maybe we should not buy your products either.(we do own some of your products and they are very good)

Ed, I understand your frustration.  We certainly appreciate our Candian customers and their support.  However, legally, we are not allowed to run the same contest in both the US and Canada due to sweepstakes laws and regulations.  However, we are looking in to the possiblity of running a separate contest in Canada in the future.  We will keep you posted.

Hide it Under a Skirt
My inspiration for this blog came from a design show I was watching on HGTV a few weeks ago – Summer Showdown. Two expert HGTV designers took the same exact family room and competed to make it the most functional and attractive for the family. Vern Yip was one of the designers. I love Vern’s design style….very simple, comfy, and cozy. And, he’s not over-the-top with whacky, impractical ideas like a lot of the designers. Anyway, the family kept a huge dog kennel in their family room. Vern very cleverly put a table over the kennel and used it as an end table beside the couch. He then used fabric to make a fitted cover for the table to hide the kennel and make the end table attractive. (Here’s the link to the episode. Click to the second picture showing Vern’s winning design and you can just barely see the dog kennel/end table...
Ten Upcoming Reasons to Buy A Lifetime Table Now
Ok, so maybe this title has a slight arrogant flare. But, just hear me out. I honestly have your best interest in mind and Im only trying to help you get the most bang for your buck. The idea for this post popped into my head after talking to my neighbor who just bought a Lifetime table. Shed been wanting to buy a Lifetime table for a while, but just never got around to it. (Sound familiar?) Her friend was having a 40th birthday party and asked if our neighbor had a folding table she could borrow for the party. Since my neighbor had been wanting to get one for her monthly Girl Scouts meetings and her upcoming garage sale, she went out that day and bought a 6 fold-in-half Lifetime table and then immediately loaned it to her friend for the birthday party. Being able to clearly see how should would use the table for multiple f...
Compost your clippings! Garbage Stinks. Compost Doesn’t.
I had the very unpleasant experience recently of dumping excess lawn clippings directly into my garbage can. The can set out in the sun for a few days before I brought it into the garage. A few days later, WHOA! The can smelled like a skunk had stepped in dog doo-doo, rolled around in raw sewage, and then died in there. I was reminded once again, that lawn clippings should not go directly into the garbage can! I have a composter and do a fair amount of composting. To which, I add lawn clippings when I have brown material to balance it out. The ratio is 1 part green: 20 parts brown. I am often asked by people who dont compost if the compost stinks. The answer is no. That sounds strange because of the waste product that goes into making good compost, but its true. If the proportions of green and b...
