Win A Lifetime Paddleboard!

paddleboard fin.jpgThis giveaway has ended.  Are you trying to find a fun, new way to stay cool this summer and maybe get some exercise at the same time?  Well, look no more.  Last week on our Facebook page, I posted this close-up picture of one of our products and told our fans that if they correctly guessed the product, we'd give one away this week!  We had several people guess it was a kayak.  (Close, but not quite.)  But, lucky for you, we also had a few fans who knew it was a picture of a Lifetime Freestyle™ Paddleboard!  In fact, this picture is showing one of the handles used to adjust the fins - a feature unique to Lifetime Paddleboards.

Want to know another unique feature of Lifetime's new stand-up paddleboard?  We include a paddle! Sounds strange, but most other paddleboards do not come with a paddle.  Lifetime's does… and, it's even an adjustable paddle with five height settings from 74 to 84 inches to accommodate riders of all sizes.

Many of you may be wondering what exactly is a  paddleboard and how does it work?  It's a new sport, but a fast-growing one.  Here's a video that shows you more about the sport of paddleboarding and explains all of the features of a Lifetime Freestyle™ Paddleboard.

So, if you want to give our new product and this new sport a try, here's how:

How to Enter:

  1. 1. Send an e-mail to PR@lifetime.com with the subject line "July contest" and your full name in the email message.
  2. In the email, let us know if you've ever tried a stand-up paddleboard before and where (lake, river, ocean, etc.) you plan on using this Lifetime Paddleboard if you win.

Bonus Entries:

  1. "Like"  Lifetime Products on Facebook.  Once you "Like" us (or if you already do), send an email to PR@lifetime.com with your full name telling us you "Like" Lifetime Products and you'll receive one bonus entry.
  2. Follow us on Twitter @Lifetime365 and retweet to your friends "I can't wait to try this new paddleboard - and @Lifetime365 is giving one away! http://bit.ly/qyteLU" to receive one bonus entry.

The contest begins Monday, July 18, 2011 and will end Tuesday, July 26 at 12:00 Midnight MST.  We'll announce one random winner on Wednesday, July 27, 2011.  (Each person may only enter once via email, once via Twitter, and once via Facebook.  Click here for complete contest rules.)

Mr. Moneybags Steps Up to the (Lifetime) Table
Who doesnt love a good game of MONOPOLY? At the 2009 MONOPOLY U.S. National Championship, held on April 14 and 15 in Washington, DC, the focus was on the game and the pressure was on for the 28 finalists. Up for grabs was $20,580, which is equivalent to the bank in a standard game of Monopoly. To ensure that no wobbly tables stood in the way of their peak performance, Lifetime provided the tournament with twelve 37-inch square fold-in-half card tables. (Check out the picture to see them all set up and ready for competitive play). These tables turned out to be perfect for the intense game. Their fold-in-half frames lock automatically, so they could stand up to the players table slaps of excitement and fist pounds of frustration. They also come with a convenient carrying handle, making tournament setup and cleanup a snap (lite...
The Winner of Our Biggest Giveaway of the Year is….
Wow! When we announced we were hosting our biggest giveaway of the year, your entries started rolling in fast! Not only did we give away our BIGGEST type of product we make, we also had the biggestnumber of entries to date. We asked you to simply tell us how you would use a Lifetime shed and, boy, did we get an earful. Lawn and gardenequipmenttopped the list as the most popular items people planned to keep in a Lifetime shed. However, storing outdoor toys and bikes, garage stuff and tools, extrakids' clothes, and holiday decorations were also frequently mentioned. We even had some creative plans including to use the shed for a workshop, a "man cave", a playhouse, storing boat equipment, storing pool equipment, hiding a water tank, and keeping firewood dry. Clearly, the uses for a Lifetime shed are limited only to your imaginatio...
A Size for Everyone -- Go Green with New 50-Gallon Composter
For this post, I want to write about our new Lifetime 50-Gallon Composter. Loyal blog readers (if there are any of them out there) know that Lifetime offers a variety of composters. These composters make being green easy, help provide beautiful gardens, and potentially save the planet. Yep, composters are pretty much modern day superheroes. Well, maybe that is a little extreme, but they are pretty cool. Lifetime has been in the composter manufacturing business for about five years now. I remember when my boss came to me and said he wanted to develop a composter for mass market retail. I have to admit, I thought his brain might have started to compost. I didn't think mass market retail was ready for compost bins. After all, they were only for people who lived completely off the land in rural USA, right? Boy was I wrong... and...
