Have A Happy July 4th - Made in America!

Happy 235th Birthday, America!  As we celebrate our country's indepence this weekend, Lifetime is proud to be a part of this great nation and to be headquartered and manufacturing products made in the USA!  Like country singer Toby Keith says in his new song "Made in America", we love to hear when someone "spends a little more at the store for a tag in the back that says USA".

We hope all of you have a safe and relaxing July 4th holiday weekend…and take a little extra time to look for products with the "Made in USA" logo.  And, if you haven't heard it yet, enjoy Toby's song he performed at the 2011 CMT Music Awards ...

Name- Jan

What I do for a living- First and foremost, I'm a doting mommy of a second grader and a 4-year-old, and a proud wife of a USAF F-16 fighter pilot!  In my pre-children life, I was the Communications Manager for Lifetime Products.  But, once you're a Lifetime fan, you're hooked!  So, after a few years of hiatus, I'm now a WAHM and am happily back on board at Lifetime as a freelance PR Consultant.  In addition to blogging for Lifetime, you can follow and chat with me on Lifetime's Twitter account @Lifetime365 and on the Lifetime Products Facebook page!

Topics I blog about- How I use Lifetime products in my everyday life at home, for kids parties and community activities, as well as inspiring stories... and GIVEAWAYS!  :)

My favorite products from Lifetime- 4x2 Table, 30” Personal Table, Chair, Youth Kayak, and Wheelbarrow.  Although, our Shed and Yard Cart are pretty close favorites, too!

Have you started composting?
For most of us in the Lifetime family, winter is on its way out. What does that mean? Time to start cooking compost! For those who dont know, Lifetime Products makes a Composter! (You can read all about it in my previous post.) The question was asked How do I separate my compost from my non-composted organic matter? Good question! First would be getting another composter. One composter would be for actually making compost in while the other would be for filling up. When youre done making compost in one, you can empty it and start using it as your filler and the other as your composter. Of course, this means buying two of our composters, which we wouldnt mind at all. ;) The second idea is what I do with my single Lifetime Composter at my house. I cant fill the thing - as soon as it gets full, the composting proces...
Score! Basketball Hoop Fosters Positive Contact with Community Kids
One of the coolest things about working for a manufacturing company is that I get to make products that people love and use in their everyday lives. Having our headquarters in Clearfield, Utah gives Lifetime the opportunity to use our products and resources throughout the community. I am always happy when we can help someone out. We recently had the opportunity to do just that. This basketball story below is from our friend Anthony, from the Department of Corrections facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am grateful to Anthony for sharing this experience and hope they are enjoying the new basketball system! I bought a hoop in 2002 for our officers to use as a way to get in some exercise while at the office. We had no idea at the time it would transform into what it did.We used the hoop for some great interoffice tournaments w...
Lifetime Acquires Emotion Kayaks, Creates Water Sports Category
Hold onto your paddles kayak fans because we have some news that is really going to make some waves! As you know, last year Lifetime started manufacturing kayaks and paddleboards. This new product line has been a tremendous success for us and an area where we've seen lots of consumer interest and demand. Today, we are excited to tell you that you can expect to see even more Lifetime kayak models on the market very soon! Why? Because Lifetime has acquired the assets of Pennsylvania-based Emotion Kayaks. Lifetime has agreed to purchase all of Emotion Kayaks assets, including its intellectual property, trademark portfolio, manufacturing equipment, inventory and its retailer contracts. What does that mean to you? Now, kayak products previously distributed by Emotion Kayaks will be manufactured at Lifetimes headquarters and manuf...
