Lifetime Tru-Motion™ Cane Wins Best New Product Award!

untitled1.jpgLast summer on this blog, we wrote about one of our newest products, the Lifetime Tru-Motion™ Cane.  Here at Lifetime, we predicted this cane's breakthrough design was going to change the way we all look at canes…. and we were right!  I'm thrilled to tell you that the Lifetime Tru-Motion™ Cane was named "Best New Product" by Drug Store News. The award was bestowed recently at ECRM's Home Health Care 2011 EPPS Show and is given in recognition of the best new product invention from the more than 50 suppliers at the event.

Obviously, we are excited that we have an award-winning product.  But, we are even more excited to know that this product is truly making a difference in people's lives.  Former American Medical Association President Dr. John C. Nelson even said, "The Lifetime Tru-Motion™ Cane is a simple, yet dynamic, breakthrough in mobility devices.  I would recommend it to all my patients. I see this quickly becoming the standard in the market place."

So, why is our cane so "revolutionary"?  After all, it's just a cane, right?  Well, the Lifetime Tru-Motion™ Cane design is unlike any other canes on the market. Its curved foot provides unmatched safety and stability through consistent surface contact with the ground to ensure a solid, stable foundation regardless of the length of stride or the angle the cane is held - even on difficult to maneuver steps and hills. The innovative style of the cane facilitates a natural, full-range cadence that gives reliable feedback to increase mobility and confidence in walking.   Plus, it easily adjusts to different height settings from 31" to 40" and can rotate to both left- and right-handed positions to accommodate all users.

But, here's the thing.  I'll admit that when I first say the picture of this product, I couldn't quite figure out which direction it was facing and how in the world it would work.  So, to really see how the Lifetime Tru-Motion™ Cane is truly different from anything you've seen before on the market, here's a quick video to see it in action and tell you more about it.  If you like what you see for you or a loved one, you can find it in the Lifetime Store online now, and later this summer it will be available in various medical supply stores nationwide.

Local Elementary Hoops it up with Lifetime
It was a big day for my son -- he's 8 and switching schools. Today we got to meet his principal, teacher, and people that he'll be seeing while furthering his education. We also got to see his classroom, and more importantly, the playground. You remember how important recess was in elementary school, right? Yeah, really, really important! It's been a while since I've been on a school playground. Back in my day they had two kinds of basketball hoops, the tall ones (at regulation height) and the one for the younger kids (permanently set lower). At this school, however, they had adjustable-height backboards from none-other than Lifetime Products! Sweet!
Mr. Moneybags Steps Up to the (Lifetime) Table
Who doesnt love a good game of MONOPOLY? At the 2009 MONOPOLY U.S. National Championship, held on April 14 and 15 in Washington, DC, the focus was on the game and the pressure was on for the 28 finalists. Up for grabs was $20,580, which is equivalent to the bank in a standard game of Monopoly. To ensure that no wobbly tables stood in the way of their peak performance, Lifetime provided the tournament with twelve 37-inch square fold-in-half card tables. (Check out the picture to see them all set up and ready for competitive play). These tables turned out to be perfect for the intense game. Their fold-in-half frames lock automatically, so they could stand up to the players table slaps of excitement and fist pounds of frustration. They also come with a convenient carrying handle, making tournament setup and cleanup a snap (lite...
