Lifetime Attends National Hardware Show in Las Vegas

Lifetime booth at the National Hardware ShowEach year Las Vegas hosts the Annual National Hardware Show where thousands of manufacturers and retailer buyers gather to show off the latest and greatest “home after market” products, which means all the products sold for the home, after the home is built. I was able to attend the (66th Annual) show this year and it was amazing to see the variety of new and exciting products. It was an opportunity for Lifetime to flaunt our own innovations.

We met with all of our major retailer accounts, to show and demonstrate our newest innovations. Focusing mainly on our Lawn & Garden products, we displayed our sheds, picnic tables, raised garden beds, composters, Adirondack chairs, glider bench, convertible bench, 130-gallon storage box and 80-gallon storage box. The response on these products has been phenomenal!

Lifetime booth at the National Hardware ShowLifetime was well represented, being one of the largest booths at the show. There were many other booths introducing new products which I am excited to see come out in the market. One that I have my eye on is a solar powered robotic lawn mower. This mower lets you set up the boundaries of your lawn and then it will automatically mow your lawn on the schedule you choose. Talk about being lazy!

The show was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center and concluded May 12. It is the leading time & place based face-to-face, sourcing, trading and learning event for the highly fragmented $343 Billion dollar US “home after market” products, attracting a worldwide audience of more than 27,000 industry professionals.

What's Wrong With This Picture?
Michael’s last posting talked about all of the basketball hoops he passed on his drive home. So, I started looking around during my drives as well. Normally, this Lifetime365 blog has been featuring upbeat, inspirational stories. But, the overall purpose of a corporate blog is to be open and honest. So, sometimes, it needs to serve as a reality check. Unfortunately, instead of counting how many basketball hoops I passed on my drive, I noticed how many people set up their basketball hoops improperly. I pass this particular basketball hoop in the photo on my way to take my son to preschool everyday and it just makes me cringe. It reminds me of one of those children’s coloring book games where you are supposed to find and circle all of the things wrong in the picture. This photo has so many things wrong, it’s too scary to count...

My kayak outing!
Every summer, my church plans some sort of camping/boating outing for many reasons but mostly to have fun and enjoy each others company. This year was no different. We ended up on the hills of Heber City at Heber Valley Camp. Knowing I worked for Lifetime, I had several requests to bring kayaks for our day at the lake. So, I checked out the trailer with 12 Lifetime Monterrey Kayaks and we spent all day Saturday paddling around. Needless to say, Lifetime kayaks were a hit! I heard nothing but positive compliments about the boats. Many people were amazed at the stability of the kayaks. A lot of people who had never tried kayaking expected the kayaks to feel like canoes that can tip with any sudden movement. But, theyre not! Kayaks have a much wider, flatter hull than a canoe so they are a lot more stable especially Lifetime k...
