Win A Raised Garden Bed Kit!

April contest ended.jpgThis giveaway has ended.  Spring is here and Earth Day is this Friday, April 22!  What a great time to get outside and start planting your garden.  If you follow us regularly, you know we've been sharing a lot about our new Lifetime Raised Garden Bed Kits on this blog lately.  We've even shared a few video reviews of the product from people who have seen them in the stores and others who have tried them already.

These cool new Raised Garden Bed Kits are getting talked about quite a bit on our Facebook page.  Why all the talk?  Because this 4'x4' bed allows you to set up an entire garden in less than one hour! And, it includes an early start enclosure kit to turn the bed into a greenhouse.  Needless to say, they are quickly becoming a very popular product.   In some areas, they are selling so quickly it's hard to actually get your hands on one.  In fact, they aren't even available in the Lifetime Store online yet!  But, luckily we managed to snag one before it left the factory.  So, guess what?  We're going to make it easy for one lucky person to get a Lifetime Raised Garden Bed Kit by giving one away this month in honor or Earth Day!

Guess that means you better start figuring out what you want to plant... because you may just be this month's winner!

How to enter:

Send an e-mail to PR@lifetime.com with the subject line "April contest".   In the email:

The contest begins Tuesday, April, 19 2011 and will end Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 12:00 Midnight MST.  We'll announce one random winner on Friday, April 29 2011.  (Each person may only enter once via email, once via Twitter, and once via Facebook.  Click here for complete contest rules.)

My favorite products from Lifetime- 4x2 Table, 30” Personal Table, Chair, Youth Kayak, and Wheelbarrow.  Although, our Shed and Yard Cart are pretty close favorites, too!

I have limited space in my yard, and the raised garden bed would be perfect for my porch, which gets full sun.

Raised bed gardening makes growing vegetables and flowers much easier. The 4'x4' size would make it simple to reach in for planting and harvesting. The early start enclosure would be perfect for planting during cool spring temperatures in Wisconsin.

I have a small backyard on the edge of a ravine with lots of trees that offer great shade, but isn't ideal for gardening. I would love to be able to garden on my deck which gets full sun most of the day. We're doing a windowbox herb garden, but would love a place to grow tomatoes, beans & zuccini. Yum!

I would like to win the raised garden bed kit for my parents. They are in their late 70's and can no longer get down on the ground to garden very easily. Both are avid gardeners and the raised garden bed would help them enjoy gardening again.

WOW...Just what I need to grow fresh veggies on my deck. My husband and I are trying to eat better and would love to grow a garden. We have a huge problem....WE LIVE ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF AN APARTMENT BUILDING!! This would fit perfect on our deck and would be a god send. With the economy being so bad and gas prices rising we here in Northern Michigan have been hit hard. This would be great because we could also put the veggies up in our little freezer to use all winter long...got my fingers crossed on this one!!

Costco Blog Weighs In
Our friends over at the Costco Blog have a very nice write-up on our 44" Round Picnic Table. They also mention our durable banquet tables and chairs, and even praise our revolutionary folding trailer. Thanks for the kudos guys! *Costco Blog is not affiliated with Costco Warehouses or Costco.com
Labor Day Fun
I always look forward to Labor Day with such mixed emotions. Naturally, I love having the three-day weekend and having my hubby home for an extra day of fun or to-do projects. But, it also means summer is officially over.:( My son, Nathan, started preschool today so we wanted to spend our Labor Day weekend enjoying the last remaining hours of summer freedom. We took the kids swimming one day and we also took them to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. So much fun! Nathan was tall enough to ride a few of the adult roller coasters this year so that made it even more exciting for all of us. (Wow, there is nothing more heartwarming than watching your child grin literally ear-to-ear all day long from having such genuine fun and thrills!) But, just like my last post, our adventure started off with Lifetime! Its everywhere! To enter Six Fla...
Kids' Picnic Table Gets New Color(less)!
So, I have to fess up. Lifetime makes a kids picnic table, but I dont own one. To make matters worse, I own a Step 2 picnic table instead. And, I actually bought my kids picnic table AFTER I worked for Lifetime Products and knew firsthand the great quality in all products from Lifetime. Oh, stop it! I can already hear my former co-workers shouting why, why, why? as they read this. I purchased the table for my sons 2nd birthday. (Great present idea, BTW!) At the time, we lived in Phoenix where we had a tiny backyard with an in-ground pool and a piece of grass that was smaller than our master bathroom...no joke. Everyones backyard in Phoenix is surrounded by a 6 cement block fence...how cozy, huh?!? Anyway, with such a small lot and a pool taking up half of it, I didnt want the rest of the yard to be mistaken for a daycare wi...
