We're Celebrating 25 Years!

Lifetime_25_years.jpgPut on your party hat, pull out the noisemakers, and get ready to celebrate - Lifetime Products is turning 25!

That's right, in March of 1986, Lifetime Products Inc. was founded in Clearfield, Utah with just 25 employees and one product category.  Today, we have more than 1,500 employees worldwide and more than 200 products sold in 58 countries!

In addition to commemorating our corporate anniversary, we're also celebrating that it's been 25 years since Lifetime invented the first residential basketball hoop that could be adjusted in just seconds. Yes, you read right… we invented the very first one. It was called the Quick Adjust, and could be adjusted using a broom handle. Pretty cool, huh? This revolutionary and convenient invention has truly transformed the game of basketball by allowing people of all ages and skill to play in their very own driveway. That's what started it all, and lead Lifetime down a path of innovation in so many home and outdoor products since.quick-adjust-instructions.jpg

To mark this milestone event, we've unveiled our silver anniversary logo. That's just the start of more exciting things to come.  There will be lots more "hoop-la" throughout the year that we'll be sharing with you! I can't give away all of our secrets just yet…. but what would kind of birthday would it be without an official party and giveaways for our guests? So, stay tuned to hear what fun we have in store for you, and if you have any ideas to ramp up the fun, please let us know!

Are you bringing guests to Utah for a big party, including a tour, with games using your products? Will you send me, please?

Where Do You Store Your Lifetime Tables & Chairs?
I know, I know. It's been forever since I last blogged, but I'm back! Back from where? Oh, just the usual, life in general...family visits, taking the kids to school and soccer, cleaning house, whatever. Although, I did squeeze in a quick vacation to Cancun which was soooo relaxing and fun!! Anyway, to those of you who have missed my regular weekly posts (thanks, Mom), your wait is over! :) So, the other day when I was getting out my vacuum cleaner, I happened to see my Lifetime folding chairs and began to wonder. (Yes, Im infamous for random association-thinkingyou know, where one thought leads to another to another to another.) Anyway, my first thought was that Lifetime folding chairs are super comfortable. But, geez, compared to other cheap, flimsyfolding chairs, they sure are big. (Obviously, this is a great feature whe...
My kayak outing!
Every summer, my church plans some sort of camping/boating outing for many reasons but mostly to have fun and enjoy each others company. This year was no different. We ended up on the hills of Heber City at Heber Valley Camp. Knowing I worked for Lifetime, I had several requests to bring kayaks for our day at the lake. So, I checked out the trailer with 12 Lifetime Monterrey Kayaks and we spent all day Saturday paddling around. Needless to say, Lifetime kayaks were a hit! I heard nothing but positive compliments about the boats. Many people were amazed at the stability of the kayaks. A lot of people who had never tried kayaking expected the kayaks to feel like canoes that can tip with any sudden movement. But, theyre not! Kayaks have a much wider, flatter hull than a canoe so they are a lot more stable especially Lifetime k...
Final Four
One and Done. That's what is so exciting about March Madness. The performances you never forget are just that. If you've watched even a minute of tournament basketball in your life, you have those memories. Often the Final Four Teams are not the best teams in America. But in my house, that's okay. Why? We tend to follow the Cinderella stories and rooting for the underdog has become a family tradition. The Wichita State Shockers are that team stunning March and making it to Atlanta to play the #1 team in the tournament: Louisville. Will the clock turn midnight before Wichita State can finish their run? Who knows. But I know my family and I will be glued to the TV hoping for that Cinderella story to end happily ever after. Want to have your own Final Four fun? Check out our basketball page on Lifetime.com and pick up your o...
