Win A Tandem Lifetime Kayak for Your Valentine!

February contest ended.jpgThis giveaway has ended.  Valentine's Day is next Monday and lovebirds everywhere are scrambling to find just the right gift.  I'll be the first to admit that most people probably don't think about buying Lifetime products for Valentine's Day.  After all, we don't make traditional Valentine gifts like sparkly diamond jewelry, yummy melt-in-your-mouth chocolates, or beautiful long-stemmed roses.  And, we only have two or three products that are even red or pink in color.  But, if you think outside the heart-shaped box just a bit, we do have an ideal Valentine gift that's perfect for romantic outdoor enthusiasts… a kayak built for two (actually three)!

Think about it. What better way to bond with your Valentine than to give a gift that the two of you can enjoy together.  Sure, depending on where you live, you may have to wait a few months to enjoy it because of the weather.  But, once it warms up, you'll love getting to paddle around together enjoying all of the romantic scenery Mother Nature has to offer.

manta2.jpgSo, this month we are giving away to one lucky random winner a Lifetime Manta™ Kayak!  Designed to seat up to three people, the 10 ft. Lifetime Manta™ Kayak is the perfect multi-purpose recreational kayak. It provides comfortable, balanced seating for solo, tandem, or family fun with a 500 lb. capacity. This kayak pretty much has it all with multiple footrest positions for different sized riders, scupper holes to drain the cockpit area, molded front and rear carry handles, ditty trays and shock cord straps to secure loose items, fishing pole holders, and forward cargo areas.  And like all Lifetime products, it is UV-protected so it will not fade, crack or peel.

We'll be announcing the winner next Monday on Valentine's Day.  So, hurry to enter now for your chance to win this unique gift to enjoy with your Valentine!

How to enter:

  • Send an e-mail to PR@lifetime.com with the subject line "February contest".
  • In the email, tell us if you've ever kayaked before and include your full name.

Bonus Entries:

  1. "Like"  Lifetime Products on Facebook.  Once you "Like" us (or if you already do), send an email to PR@lifetime.com with your full name telling us you "Like" Lifetime Products and you'll receive one bonus entry.
  2. Follow us on Twitter @Lifetime365 and retweet to your friends "I just entered to win a tandem kayak for my Valentine from @Lifetime365! http://bit.ly/ifcwej" to receive one bonus entry.

The contest begins Monday, February 7, 2011 and will end Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 12:00 Midnight MST.  We'll announce one random winner on Monday, February 14, 2011.  (Each person may only enter once via email, once via Twitter, and once via Facebook.  Click here for complete contest rules.)

I fish a lot year round using a pontoon boat, this kayak looks great and would be a lot warmer in the winter not having my legs in the water. Nice that is only weighs 55 lbs, easy to handle getting to the water. Looks like a great product. Thanks

I received a Lifetime basketball portable hoop and Backboard for Father's day in 2007. It was a 10 year father's day gift from my family. My neighbor put it together and surprised me in my driveway. I hever had a portable or adjustable hoop as a kid. My son played in his first organized 5 on 5 basketball team this year at the age of 10. He goes out and practices lay-ups and uses the square to bank jump shots. Today he came home from school, dropped his book bag and went to the driveway. 52 degrees outside and sunny. He hit the dead center of the square and it broke a middle hole with a sharp 8" by 7" section which fell to the ground. Other than the hole in the glass, the backboard and rim are intact. I called Lifetime and was told the unit was produced in 2003 and I have no documentation to support my delivery date. I put duct tape over the hole until I decide to replace it. I'm disappointed you call your company Lifetime. Regards, Patrick Cahill Greencastle, PA

I am thrilled to hear how much you and your son have enjoyed your Lifetime basketball hoop! But, I am sorry to hear about your recent experience.  I will ask our Customer Care department to look at your file again and have them contact you to explore your options so we can help you fix this backboad and get your son banking those jump shots again.

Inground basketball
Inground basketball hoops are cemented into the ground, rather than set on a portable base. Inground basketball systems provide rigidity and firmness, and generally take up less space than portable basketball systems. Cement is required for the installation of an inground basketball system (allow that to set fully for 72 hours after installation before play), but once set up, a cemented inground basketball goal can provide years upon years of entertainment and enjoyment for almost all ages. Inground basketball systems are available with free shipping from BuyLifetime.com.
Lifetime Receives Utah Genius Award
I had the privilege of attending the Utah Genius Award luncheon this past week, on behalf of Lifetime, as we were awarded one of Utahs Top 20 companies with the most patents issued in 2009! The awards honor people, cities and organizations with the most patents or trademarks throughout the past year. This past year, Lifetime received 15 new patents! These patents cover a variety of our tables and our fold-up utility trailer. The patents join Lifetime's more than 475 existing patents, which protect our innovations and intellectual properties that our employees worked so hard to invent and design. A crowd of around 500 people gathered Wednesday at Salt Lakes Little America Hotel for this annual event. Governor Gary Herbert opened the awards luncheon with Doug Fabrizio of KUER radio as the keynote speaker. A product reception ...
Life Jackets: An Essential Part of Paddlesports
Here in the water sports department we often get asked, Do I need to wear a life jacket when I kayak... even in flat water? It is a good question, and it has a really important answer - YES. Almost all of the US states require you to have a life jacket with you when on the water, no matter the water conditions. The details will, of course, vary state to state. The key is you should always have a life jacket when heading out for a paddle whether in your kayak or on your paddleboard. More importantly, you should always be wearing your life jacket when you are paddling. It is easy to brush the PFD (personal flotation device -aka lifejacket) off as a non-essential but it is just as important as your paddle and kayak. You never know what could happen out there and it is always best to be prepared. Even good swimmers should wear ...
