Come and Play at Bear's Backyard!

Now Utahns can try out Lifetime products before they buy them. Lifetime has partnered with the Utah Jazz to sponsor an area in the Energy Solutions Arena called Bear’s Backyard. Featuring Lifetime playsets, Double Shots, picnic tables, teeter-totters and more-- Bear’s Backyard is the perfect place for the smallest to the tallest Jazz fans to get their wiggles out.

blog-post-bears-backyard-1.gifFor the past few months, the place has been VERY busy! The first few nights it was open, the Double Shot hoops were so popular that the facilities crew had to set up ropes to form lines.

If you visit, be sure to check out the fun interactive display that teaches children how Lifetime products are made. With an I-spy wheel full of plastic pellets, a powder-coated xylophone, and a Shatter Proof backboard and hammer to test the strength. Though it took a lot of time for our team to build, I must admit, this was very fun to put together!

blog-post-bears-backyard.gifBear's Backyard is open during other events, too. Weekend games are especially fun because the Jazz Bear makes a special appearance. So next time you get the chance to attend a Utah Jazz game, make sure to check out Bear’s Backyard, located on the upper bowl level.

New Patio Furniture on BuyLifetime!
My best friend recently replaced all her wicker patio furniture with Lifetime patio furnitureher wicker chairs and table had rotted from sun exposure in less than two years! As she said, I like the wicker look, but Im not made out of money. These tables and chairs will last forever. Maybe they wont last forever, but they should last a good deal longer, and I agree with her that they look a lot better. Her wicker furniture was faded and ratty in the first summer, even before it fell apart. The clean, smooth finish on her new Lifetime patio furniture will last much longer. I know, because Ive been using Lifetime tables and chairs as patio furniture for ages. Long before I came to work for Lifetime, we had a Lifetime picnic table on our deck and Lifetime folding chairs sitting in the shade under our walnut tree. Apparently, Im...
Product Safety Testing
A visit to the Testing Lab at Lifetime Products is like a scene from the Nutty Professor... robotic arms at work, the sound of weights crashing onto chairs, the smell of strange chemicals.... Slip on your safety glasses-- youll want to see this! Since we rigorously test every single product we manufacture, the testing lab is always bustling. With over 200 products and many more prototypes, our testing lab engineers are constantly whacking, swinging, and smashing-- to make sure each product meets our high standards. All of Lifetimes products are tested for strength and safety-- new designs and redesigns of our products. New designs are tested over and over again, and the testing lab engineering work closely with the design engineers, giving data and feedback that improves the product. Even the most common products undergo thi...
Overnight Kayak Adventures
For most people, when they think about kayaking, they think of aday trip to the local lake. Maybe a vacation day spent floating on the ocean, watching the birds and listening to the calm ocean ripples. While these trips are great, with just a bit more effort, you can really turn a kayaking trip into a fun filled outdoor adventure. What better way to bond with your family or a group of friends then to be outside, away from all the electronic distractions, kayaking and camping in the wilderness. There are several ways to enjoy a camping and kayak trip. Some riversflow through campgrounds, parks or national forest land allow camping right along the banks of the rivers. This type of trip can be great for a weekend get-a-way. Day one is spent paddling a few miles to your secluded campsite and getting yourself all setup. You get to ...
