How to Get More Seating Around Your Patio Table

Are you planning a backyard picnic to celebrate the end of summer or upcoming Labor Day? Still trying to figure out where everyone can sit?  If you're like me, you have a nice patio table and chair set, but it seems like I'm still always short just one or two chairs to be able to have everyone sit together.  I could set up my Lifetime card table and folding chairs, but it feels awkward having two people dine by themselves away from the group.

Well, here's a handy suggestion my mom shared with me that's the perfect solution to your seating dilemma. Typically, the chairs that come with a  patio table are very comfy, but they are also usually very wide and feature arm rests.  If you need to add a few extra seats to your patio table, simply use your Lifetime folding chairs instead of your bulky patio chairs and you'll have instant extra room!

Check out these pictures to see what I mean.  Using my patio chairs, my table can only seat six people maximum. But, by using my Lifetime folding chairs, I could actually fit 10 chairs around the table if I needed so we can all eat together at one table. (If I had 10 Lifetime chairs, that is.  I actually only have eight so I couldn't quite fill it up completely.)   Yes, it's a tight squeeze, but it does work!  And, don't worry, Lifetime chairs are made of high-density polyethylene and powder-coated steel that are weather-resistant so the chairs are perfectly fine outside if happens to starting raining.

I hope this helps for your next big backyard BBQ.  Happy dining!

Favorite Fall Foods…Mmmmm!
Tuesday night was my turn to host our Air Force squadrons monthly wives meeting. The evenings in Texas are just starting to cool down so I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to serve my favorite Fall foods - soup and pumpkin desserts! I didnt want to spend too much time and effort on decorating since the meetings are supposed to be simple. So, I planned to eat outside in the cool autumn air and allow Mother Nature to provide my dcor. Well, unfortunately, Mother Nature didnt exactly cooperate with her end of the dealapparently she thinks low 80s is ideal for Fall!? But, after the sun set, it did feel slightly brisk. I borrowed three of bales of straw from a friend to set around in the yard as easy Fall decorations and extra seating if needed. I used my patio table and chairs, a card table and chairs, and my Lifetime...
Lifetime Acquires Kayak Company
We've been pretty busy at Lifetime this week and can finally tell you what all the commotion is about. Lifetime is expanding into another new sporting goods industrywater sports! Fun, huh? Just this week, Lifetime acquired the assets of San Bernardino, CA-based Dragonfly Innovation, Corp. and its kayak products. It's a move that just makes good sense for Lifetime. Kayaks you say? Yep, that's right. It's a great way to complement our other sporting goods lineup, which already includes basketball systems, soccer goals, and a tetherball set. And, the kayaks work well with our plastics manufacturing expertise, since they are a blow-molded product. Lifetime will manufacture the blow-molded kayaks in its Utah facility, which means the creation of more manufacturing jobs! Plus, with Lifetime manufacturing kayaks, it's good news fo...
The Wonderful World of Sit-Inside Kayaks!
This kayak season we are stepping up our game! Exciting right? Most people have seen our many sit-on-top and fishing models, but this year we have gone in a whole new direction! I would like to introduce our newest member of the kayak family, the Lifetime Payette 116! This is our first sit-inside kayak design and it is sure to knock your water socks off! It comes in at 98 and is has the perfect mix of stability and speed. The sleek design makes it a bit faster than other kayaks that are similar in length without compromising the stability you are accustom to in a Lifetime Kayak! Think best of both worlds: speed of a longer kayak, stability of a shorter kayak. The built -n seat and seat back make it comfortable while the molded-in carry handles make for easy transport. Need to take some snacks with you on your paddle? The Paye...
