How to Get More Seating Around Your Patio Table

Are you planning a backyard picnic to celebrate the end of summer or upcoming Labor Day? Still trying to figure out where everyone can sit?  If you're like me, you have a nice patio table and chair set, but it seems like I'm still always short just one or two chairs to be able to have everyone sit together.  I could set up my Lifetime card table and folding chairs, but it feels awkward having two people dine by themselves away from the group.

Well, here's a handy suggestion my mom shared with me that's the perfect solution to your seating dilemma. Typically, the chairs that come with a  patio table are very comfy, but they are also usually very wide and feature arm rests.  If you need to add a few extra seats to your patio table, simply use your Lifetime folding chairs instead of your bulky patio chairs and you'll have instant extra room!

Check out these pictures to see what I mean.  Using my patio chairs, my table can only seat six people maximum. But, by using my Lifetime folding chairs, I could actually fit 10 chairs around the table if I needed so we can all eat together at one table. (If I had 10 Lifetime chairs, that is.  I actually only have eight so I couldn't quite fill it up completely.)   Yes, it's a tight squeeze, but it does work!  And, don't worry, Lifetime chairs are made of high-density polyethylene and powder-coated steel that are weather-resistant so the chairs are perfectly fine outside if happens to starting raining.

I hope this helps for your next big backyard BBQ.  Happy dining!

Pumpkin Carving Fun
For a fun family activity last night we thought it would be fun to do some pumpkin carving. It was an amusing evening that our two boys thoroughly enjoyed. As soon as I left work, I picked up the boys and we drove down to a local outdoor produce stand that always seems to have a great selection of pumpkins, all in different shapes and sizes, each one seemed to have their own personality. I think Josh and Jake changed their minds on which pumpkin they each wanted about eight times. Originally Josh was really set on a small pumpkin just a little bit larger than my fist, (I dont think I have the patience to carve a pumpkin that small), so I had to use my best diplomatic efforts to convince him to choose a different pumpkin. He eventually chose another one-- the largest one out there. Jake also chose one that I am sure outweighed ...
Haul Out the Sod
After spreading six yards of compost on our lawn, youd think we would be done with yard work, right? Nope, not us. We have a back corner of our yard that is heavily shaded by trees so the original Bermuda grass never grew. To make matters worse, our yard is sloped so what little grass we did have in that corner simply washed downhill. We really want to try and get grass to grow back there. Not just so it will be green and look nice, but because we have a tire swing back there and we have a ladder in that corner to climb the fence over to our neighbors house. Read between the lines...Im tired of having to wash muddy feet every time we come into the house! We did some research and we think weve found a grass that is pretty shade tolerant. So, last week, we put down some Palidsades Zoysia sod in that corner. Its a Texas grass d...
Second Annual "Salute Our Troops" Event Planned This Memorial Day at Lifetime Store
At Lifetime, we strongly believe that part of our corporate responsibility as a successful business is to support our local community. So, I am excited to tell you that this Memorial Day we will, once again, be hosting our "Salute Our Troops" event! This event will be held only at our Lifetime Store location in Riverdale, Utah. On Memorial Day, 5 percent of our proceeds will be donated to the Utah Military Families Foundation (UMFF), a privately-funded non-profit organization headquartered at Hill Air Force Base that supports over 80,000 military families throughout Utah. Lifetime Products is honored to be neighbors with Hill Air Force Base. So, this event is a way for Lifetime to thank our local military men and women - and their families - that sacrifice so much for our community and country. And, it's a way for us to tha...
