Topics I blog about- How I use Lifetime products in my everyday life at home, for kids parties and community activities, as well as inspiring stories... and GIVEAWAYS!  :)

My favorite products from Lifetime- 4x2 Table, 30” Personal Table, Chair, Youth Kayak, and Wheelbarrow.  Although, our Shed and Yard Cart are pretty close favorites, too!

I like the fact that the Lifetime Storage Box has a dual purpose (storage and seating).  I would put kids' toys inside mine.

Haul Out the Sod
After spreading six yards of compost on our lawn, youd think we would be done with yard work, right? Nope, not us. We have a back corner of our yard that is heavily shaded by trees so the original Bermuda grass never grew. To make matters worse, our yard is sloped so what little grass we did have in that corner simply washed downhill. We really want to try and get grass to grow back there. Not just so it will be green and look nice, but because we have a tire swing back there and we have a ladder in that corner to climb the fence over to our neighbors house. Read between the lines...Im tired of having to wash muddy feet every time we come into the house! We did some research and we think weve found a grass that is pretty shade tolerant. So, last week, we put down some Palidsades Zoysia sod in that corner. Its a Texas grass d...
Backyards Inc. Changes Name to Lifetime Store
Things are starting to look a little different along the Wasatch Front in Utah, and I'm not just talking about the fresh layers of snow on the mountains. We are excited to tell you that Backyards Inc., the Lifetime factory retail store, is changing its name to "Lifetime Store". Start watching for the name change to take place over the course of the next four months with updates to all outdoor signage to be completed by February 2011. For those of you who don't live in Utah, you'll see a change, too. Our online store will soon share the Lifetime Store name to give customers a simpler shopping experience. So why did we make this change? Most importantly, for you - our customers! Even though Backyards Inc. has always been owned by Lifetime, there was no easy way for our customers to instantly recognize Backyards Inc. as Lifeti...
Lifetime's New Raised Garden Bed
Spring is on its way! Well, maybe, depending where you live, right? Nonetheless, we are excited to announce our new Spring product the LifetimeRaised Garden Bed! This 4 x 4 foot garden kit makes it easy to have a successful garden in less space. Weve been consulting with fellow Utahan, Mel Bartholomew, who invented the square foot garden. The purpose of this smaller garden is to grow a larger, more plentiful harvest with less cost, in less space, using less water and seeds, and less work than traditional gardens. With its simple, do-it-yourself assembly and low-maintenance features, gardening has never been so easy. Not requiring any tools, your garden can be assembled in less than an hour. Growing your own garden can be a very inexpensive and healthier way to consume your vegetables. And nothing tastes as good as homegrown...
