Enjoy the Game at YOUR Level!

In 1986, Lifetime Products introduced and patented the first complete basketball system that could be adjusted in just seconds. Over the years, Lifetime has revolutionized the basketball industry and has literally changed the game to fit everyone’s level.

As I’m sure many of you are aware, there is a wide variety of height adjustment mechanisms available, and sometimes it can be overwhelming knowing the differences between them all! Here is a list of some of Lifetime’s main height adjustments to help you choose what might work best for you.

Telescoping Height Adjustment

The telescoping height adjustment allows you to raise and lower the basketball hoop without the use of any tools. You can easily adjust the rim height from 7.5 to 10 feet, in 6-inch increments.

 Quick Adjust®

The Quick Adjust® is the original broomstick height adjustment mechanism. It allows you to raise or lower the rim height from 7.5 to 10 feet using a broomstick.

Speed Shift®
The Speed Shift® height adjustment easily adjusts from 8 to 10 feet with just one hand. It adjusts in 6-inch increments, and has counter-balance springs that do most of the work for you!

Action Grip®
The  Action Grip®  adjustment also adjusts with just one hand. You can easily adjust the rim height from 7.5 to 10 feet in 6-inch increments, bringing the game to your level.

Power Lift®
The Power Lift® offers instant and effortless height adjustment from 7.5 to 10 feet in infinite increments! The precision height adjustment adjusts in seconds with just one hand, allowing players of any age or skill level to enjoy the game.

All of Lifetime’s basketball systems adjust in height and all of the adjustment mechanisms pictured above can be found on both portable basketball hoops and in-ground basketball hoops. Typically, the telescoping and quick adjust mechanisms are found on systems geared more toward beginner, Speed Shift and Action Grip are for intermediate, and the Power Lift systems give you the feel and look of a pro game.

Judging the Weber School District Science Fair
About a week ago, six of our Lifetime employees (mostly Engineers and Information Technicians) volunteered to help judge the Weber School District Science Fair. The fair brought in an average of 200 to 300 people which included parents, college students and the general public. Each of the judges had fun learning about the different subjects from how safe your drinking water is t...
Lifetime Products Profit Sharing
On Feb 6, 2010Lifetime Products held its 42nd bi-annual Profit Sharing Meeting. If youre like me, and dont know what profit sharing is when you first hear of it, let me explain.Profit Sharing is a program where a company shares a portion of the years profit with its employees. At Lifetime, everyone is involved with Profit Sharing and we all get the exact same amount (with the exception of people that have been with the company for less than a year or have not met performance requirements). Lifetimes Profit Sharing meeting is also a report on the company. Both the Lifetime Products President Richard Hendrickson and Owner/CEO take the opportunity to update us on company initiatives, company goals and values, and new products. In this meeting we learned that Lifetime is still completely debt-free, and doing great after recent ...
Questions to Ask Yourself Before Buying A Folding Table
When purchasing a folding table, you may think that all you need is a basic structure with a flat surface, four legs, and the ability to fold flat. In some cases, you may be right, right? I think about tables and chairs a lot. Every day I talk with our Lifetime Tables and Chairs team about corner impact, leg locking mechanisms, channeling, leg deployment, and lots of other details that will make you stop reading this. All this knowledge has made me a firm believer that a very durable table with safety and convenience features will pay off in the long run. Do you remember the "old" folding tables? Let me jog your memory-- they were wooden, heavy, and clumsy. I remember carrying heavy tables made of wood or metal, with sharp metal edges below the table top that cutmy fingers. If you were alive in the 1990's and earlierand I a...
