Name- Jan

What I do for a living- First and foremost, I'm a doting mommy of a second grader and a 4-year-old, and a proud wife of a USAF F-16 fighter pilot!  In my pre-children life, I was the Communications Manager for Lifetime Products.  But, once you're a Lifetime fan, you're hooked!  So, after a few years of hiatus, I'm now a WAHM and am happily back on board at Lifetime as a freelance PR Consultant.  In addition to blogging for Lifetime, you can follow and chat with me on Lifetime's Twitter account @Lifetime365 and on the Lifetime Products Facebook page!

Topics I blog about- How I use Lifetime products in my everyday life at home, for kids parties and community activities, as well as inspiring stories... and GIVEAWAYS!  :)

My favorite products from Lifetime- 4x2 Table, 30” Personal Table, Chair, Youth Kayak, and Wheelbarrow.  Although, our Shed and Yard Cart are pretty close favorites, too!

Pilots, NASCAR, and Tailgating?
So, my hubby Mike did something pretty cool last weekend. I think Ive mentioned before that he is an F-16 pilot in the Air Force. Right now he is stationed at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas as an Instructor Pilot for the T-38 jet. Anywaylast weekend he (and some other guys from the squadron) did the flyby for the Nationwide NASCAR Series Race up in Dallas. Thanks to the wonders of technology, I was able to pause live TV and snap this photo of his flyby as shown on ESPN.:) After doing the flyby, Mike and the other pilots were escorted into pit row to watch the race. Mike said it was a pretty cool experience being right down by the action. They met Jack Roush, owner of several NASCAR teams and fellow aviation fan, and they stood within arms reach of Kyle Busch during his celebration in victory lane. However, wha...
Tetherball poles, new at BuyLifetime
Since the very beginning, Lifetime Products has been in the basketball business. Theyve made strong, durable poles, backboards, and rims, and innovated the adjustable height mechanism which brought basketball younger kids. Following in this tradition, Lifetime Products introduces the Lifetime Tetherball system! Many of you grown-ups out there probably remember the deluxe tetherball pole from your school-yard, and the heated competitive tetherball contests that would ensue during recess. With the Lifetime Tetherball system, now you can bring those childhood memories into your backyard so a whole new generation of tetherballers to enjoy! Whether its Tether Ball, Tetherball Sets, or Tetherball Pole, Tetherball is a great traditional outdoor game, and fun for all ages.
How to find screaming deals using technology
WARNING! This isnt going to be your typical Lifetime365 blog post. Its going to be a bit more technical, and a lot more geeky, but dont let that scare you off. Ill try and walk you through it. To start things off, you should know that Im a computer geek, Ill admit it. What Im going to tell you now is something that us geeks have known about for a long, long time, but something that you normal people probably dont know about and even if you do, youre probably not using it this way. What is this secret technology of which I speak? Its called RSS feeds. RSS is an acronym. Id tell you what it stands for but people have been arguing over that since it first came out. Then ATOM feeds came along. All of this ties in with RDF and the semantic web. Im not going to go into that much detail, just know that when someone talks about RS...
