Joe

Name: Joe

Position at Lifetime Products: Web Developer. What does that mean? I work with the rest of the web team to put great designs into industry standard HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET MVC, and use other techno-jargon stuff to help our customers find what they're looking for, learn about our products, and have a fun time doing it.

Social Networks:

How long at Lifetime Products: Since November 2005

Background: You’ve always wanted to know who on earth Joe is, and even if you haven't we're going to tell you anyway! He was born in Weber County, Utah, USA. He is a descendant of Paiute (Native American) heritage and is a member of the Kanosh (Utah) Band. He is a member of various community, church, and civic organizations, and is actively involved with local, state, and national government. He is concerned with customer service and is striving to educate businesses concerning proper “consumer etiquette”. Joe is a Thawte Web of Trust Notary and is involved with seamless Digital Signatures utilizing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and similar technologies. He is a husband and father. He rides his recumbent bicycle to work every day. He enjoys gardening, houseplants, mobile computing, camping, authoring web sites, working in the yard, and spending time with his family. How does he do it all? We really don’t have the foggiest. Some have suspected he’s discovered the secrets of cold fusion, while others think he may be an android. We may never know for certain.

My favorite Lifetime Products: Lifetime Yard cart, outdoor sheds, camp tables, and picnic tables

Where Do You Store Your Lifetime Tables & Chairs?
I know, I know. It's been forever since I last blogged, but I'm back! Back from where? Oh, just the usual, life in general...family visits, taking the kids to school and soccer, cleaning house, whatever. Although, I did squeeze in a quick vacation to Cancun which was soooo relaxing and fun!! Anyway, to those of you who have missed my regular weekly posts (thanks, Mom), your wait is over! :) So, the other day when I was getting out my vacuum cleaner, I happened to see my Lifetime folding chairs and began to wonder. (Yes, Im infamous for random association-thinkingyou know, where one thought leads to another to another to another.) Anyway, my first thought was that Lifetime folding chairs are super comfortable. But, geez, compared to other cheap, flimsyfolding chairs, they sure are big. (Obviously, this is a great feature whe...
Things I Learned When Registering My Lifetime Manta Kayak
Last week, we journeyed to Ohio for our annual summer vacation to visit my parents. While we were there, Lifetime shipped me a Lifetime Manta tandem kayak to use so I could share some personal experiences and reviews with you. But, before we could legally use the Lifetime Manta Kayak in Ohio public waters, we had to register it as a watercraft with the State of Ohio. Ideally, the process should be quick although, unfortunately, the day we went the service wasn't exactly speedy or friendly. But, we simply filled out a form with our contact information and kayak information, paid $25 for a 3 year registration (cost may vary with each state), and received our registration number and tag decal. Then, we headed to Walmart to buy the numbers to stick on the side of the kayak. That's it. Done. But, in case you are new (like me) to r...
See Lifetime's Factory on Live TV!
Lights, camera, action! It has been another exciting week here at Lifetime. On Monday, Lifetime was featured in a Made in Utah segment on Studio 5, KSL's local lifestyle show. The hour-long show featured a pre-recorded segment (starring yours truly) that was filmed in the Lifetime Store, as well as three live segments with host Darin Adams in our factory. Studio 5 is doing a week-long series to show products and companies that are made in Utah. We were honored they decided to start with Lifetime! Filming the pre-taped piece was SO much fun. Studio 5 Producer, Stephanie, was a blast and great to work with. She was very creative and full of energy. Who knew sipping lemonade on a Lifetime Glider Bench would be so fun? For the live segments, the KSL camera lady, Jen, showed up about 10:00am to get things set up, find a broadcas...
