Name: Joe

Position at Lifetime Products: Web Developer. What does that mean? I work with the rest of the web team to put great designs into industry standard HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET MVC, and use other techno-jargon stuff to help our customers find what they're looking for, learn about our products, and have a fun time doing it.

How long at Lifetime Products: Since November 2005

Background: You’ve always wanted to know who on earth Joe is, and even if you haven't we're going to tell you anyway! He was born in Weber County, Utah, USA. He is a descendant of Paiute (Native American) heritage and is a member of the Kanosh (Utah) Band. He is a member of various community, church, and civic organizations, and is actively involved with local, state, and national government. He is concerned with customer service and is striving to educate businesses concerning proper “consumer etiquette”. Joe is a Thawte Web of Trust Notary and is involved with seamless Digital Signatures utilizing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and similar technologies. He is a husband and father. He rides his recumbent bicycle to work every day. He enjoys gardening, houseplants, mobile computing, camping, authoring web sites, working in the yard, and spending time with his family. How does he do it all? We really don’t have the foggiest. Some have suspected he’s discovered the secrets of cold fusion, while others think he may be an android. We may never know for certain.

How to find screaming deals using technology
WARNING! This isnt going to be your typical Lifetime365 blog post. Its going to be a bit more technical, and a lot more geeky, but dont let that scare you off. Ill try and walk you through it. To start things off, you should know that Im a computer geek, Ill admit it. What Im going to tell you now is something that us geeks have known about for a long, long time, but something that you normal people probably dont know about and even if you do, youre probably not using it this way. What is this secret technology of which I speak? Its called RSS feeds. RSS is an acronym. Id tell you what it stands for but people have been arguing over that since it first came out. Then ATOM feeds came along. All of this ties in with RDF and the semantic web. Im not going to go into that much detail, just know that when someone talks about RS...
Happy Picnicking - Inside or Out!
When we decided to give away a Lifetime 6' Picnic Table this month, we thought it was the perfect time of year since it's summertime and the popular July 4th picnic season is just a few weeks away. But, guess what? We learned from your entries that a lot of you would use a Lifetime Picnic Table year-round! Of course, those of you who live in warm climates will use the table outside all year. But, a lot of you who live in colder climates said you would still use your picnic table by folding it and carrying it into the sunroom, the basement for a sewing table or laundry table, or even store it but unfold it for extra dining space during the holidays. The convenient folding feature of the Lifetime Picnic Table definitely makes it a very versatile product. Congratulations to David C. of Riverton, UT. He was the lucky random winn...
Introducing the New Lifetime Water Sports Logo!
Whether youre new to kayaking or youre a seasoned veteran, you know one thing about the sport of paddling - its fun! As Lifetime Products grows as a company and we, the water sports division, grow as a category, we want to make sure we make our mark in the paddlesports industry. To keep us moving in the right direction, weve come up with some brand-spanking-new logos to bring the fun and excitement of the sport to each and every kayak we make. The water sports community is fun, energetic, and unique, we wanted a logo that represented the quality Lifetime is known for, yet exhibited the upbeat environment found throughout the kayaking industry. And here you go! The new Lifetime watersports logo is an abstract representation of a kayak in water with elements of fun and adventure. Our lighter colored kayaks - yellow, orange and...
