Bar codes help make life easier from manufacturing all the way through the supply chain, and up to the check-out register. While you're shopping for products, you can look for better deals and more information by scanning traditional UPCs with your phone, an app, and an internet connection. Pretty cool, right? Something new that you may have seen cropping up on billboards, articles, advertisements, and even product displays and packaging is a new kind of bar code, a 2D barcode.  These new 2D barcodes are also called a QR code which is short for quick response. UPCs are a 1D (one-dimensional) type of bar code. Traditionally, a laser is used to illuminate a thin stripe across the barcode. A 2D barcode contains multiple lines of information and require multiple lasers to read. Since not many of us carry lasers around in o... More

This past Saturday, October 9, Lifetime Products employees met at Clearfield City’s Steed Park for Lifetime’s 5th Annual Local Community Service Project. What a sight! More than 800 employees were busy laying sod, trimming trees, leveling baseball diamonds, picking up trash, and much more, to beautify and improve the 23-acre Steed Park for local residents.   It was a great experience working together outside of our normal everyday jobs to do something to give back and help improve our local community.  It was also a true team effort.  Everyone pitched in to help in some way or another... even Lifetime President Richard Hendrickson was busy trimming trees by the pond.  Me?  I rolled up my sleeves to help stain the pavilion which was a little mes... We at Lifetime Products are proud to announce our all-new video library!  We have been busy working to produce Lifetime product videos for nearly all of our products.  These videos are a great way to help you better understand the products and check them out before you buy, especially if you are ordering online and have not seen a product in person. The videos allow you to view the product from all angles and see the various features in action. Our video library is growing every day and with about 200 product offerings, more are certainly on the way!  You will soon start seeing these new product videos pop up on a lot of the websites that sell our products, including in the Lifetime Online Store, costco.com, samsclub.com, competitiveedgeproducts.com, ... Sigh. So, I think I finally have my house and garage rearranged and organized to make room for all of the Christmas presents Santa brought. It was just a few things but, boy, they seemed to all be really big in size. As you know, I LOVE hosting garage sales. So, consequently, that means I insisted on storing everything we cleaned out until we have our garage sale in the spring. Luckily, we have two big attics in our house to stash all of our junk. But, I know lots of you don't have the luxury of an attic or basement so you have to haul your stuff to a storage building, or eliminate the hoarding all together and simply haul it to Goodwill or the dump. Oh, and I know how those multiple trips to storage buildings or the dump can get tiresome. Even a pickup truck can fill up fast. If this sounds all too familiar to you, maybe i... More

Portable basketball systems
Portable basketball systems like the BlackFusion by Lifetime Products takes the forms and cement out of your backyard basketball game. Instead of digging a hole, setting forms, mixing, reinforcing pouring cement, temporarily bracing the pole, and waiting for it to cure certainly makes for a stable (and permanent) addition to your backyard or driveway. We realize that sometimes people might not want to do that, and weve got a solution with our portable Basketball systems. Many of Lifetimes portable basketball systems include height-adjustment mechanisms, this one has a telescoping height adjuster that is as simple as twisting a knob, bringing basketball down to the junior players, too (with heights from 7.5 feet to 10 feet) BuyLifetime.com offers free shipping on this portable basketball system, delivered right to your doo...
Kids' Picnic Table Gets New Color(less)!
So, I have to fess up. Lifetime makes a kids picnic table, but I dont own one. To make matters worse, I own a Step 2 picnic table instead. And, I actually bought my kids picnic table AFTER I worked for Lifetime Products and knew firsthand the great quality in all products from Lifetime. Oh, stop it! I can already hear my former co-workers shouting why, why, why? as they read this. I purchased the table for my sons 2nd birthday. (Great present idea, BTW!) At the time, we lived in Phoenix where we had a tiny backyard with an in-ground pool and a piece of grass that was smaller than our master bathroom...no joke. Everyones backyard in Phoenix is surrounded by a 6 cement block fence...how cozy, huh?!? Anyway, with such a small lot and a pool taking up half of it, I didnt want the rest of the yard to be mistaken for a daycare wi...
Ta-Da! Our Blog Makeover Reveal!
Notice anything different around here today? Yep, we gave ourselves a facelift! We've been working hard over the last few months to move this blog from a boxed program to our own admin site for a bunch of backend technical reasons that I won't bother to bore you with. More important to you is that, in the process, we also overhauled our look! It may not be with Botox or hair color, but even blogs need a makeover every now and then. We started by changing up our look to give it a lighter feel. We wanted to make it easier for you to read and quickly see teasers of several posts at once. Want to know who writes for our blog? With our new blogger profile section, it's easy for you to see who we each are and what we write about most of the time. We've also changed up the way we've categorized our blog posts so you can quickly fin...
