Every Lifetime product has its niche and purpose. Every market niche has a need. For the past two years, we’ve been designing, re-thinking, and bringing new definition to the residential tables and chairs market. And now, the first Residential-grade Lifetime chair is rolling into Walmarts across the nation. This chair is 100% made in the USA by our own Utah employees. Every piece, rivets and all, has been carefully designed and made to represent the Lifetime brand. Its purposeful blueprint has been crafted and honed to target our Walmart customer base, while also standing up for the strength and dependability of the Lifetime name. Though its convenient thin frame and residential grade look deceiving, our engineers have specifically made the design to be sturdy, strong, and it still continues to pass our WBP internal&nb... I had the very unpleasant experience recently of dumping excess lawn clippings directly into my garbage can. The can set out in the sun for a few days before I brought it into the garage. A few days later, WHOA! The can smelled like a skunk had stepped in dog doo-doo, rolled around in raw sewage, and then died in there. I was reminded once again, that lawn clippings should not go directly into the garbage can! I have a composter and do a fair amount of composting. To which, I add lawn clippings when I have brown material to balance it out. The ratio is 1 part green: 20 parts brown.  I am often asked by people who don’t compost if the compost stinks. The answer is no. That sounds strange because of the waste product that goes into making good compost, but it’s true. If the proportions of green and brown mater... More

Lifetime's EcoHousing Initiative - Mass-Produced Shelters for Disaster Relief
Two weeks ago, Lifetime unveiled its latest product - the EcoHouse. Just so you know, this isnt our normal type of product that is available for consumers to purchase in retail stores. Well, first off, its a 377 sq ft building that ships on four pallets and can be assembled in only 72 man hours. And, it can be built with sustainable electric, plumbing, and waste management - which means households have no need to pay for utilities! Perfect for disaster-stricken and impoverished areas. The shelter can be configured in multiple ways for use as a four-room home, a school, clinic, dining area, or meeting area. Why are we calling it the E...

The All New Lifetime Power Flex - New Rim, New Adjustment Mechanism
The coolest thing about working at Lifetime Products is our dedication to innovate and make stuff that just doesn't exist yet. Our newest basketball system - the Power Flex System - is my favorite system that we make because of just that. In an industry that is saturated with competition, we were able to come up with an in-groundbasketball system that is unique in many ways. First, we started with the height adjustment mechanism. Our engineers were able to patent new technology with a gas-assist, triggerless handle adjustment called the Power Lift XL Height Adjust. This new Power Lift XL is similar to our existing Power Lift mechanism that Lifetime invented in 1996 - which was the first pneumatic height adjustment mechanism for basketball hoops. However, our new Power Lift XL has larger handle to help make raising and loweri...
