Every Lifetime product has its niche and purpose. Every market niche has a need. For the past two years, we’ve been designing, re-thinking, and bringing new definition to the residential tables and chairs market. And now, the first Residential-grade Lifetime chair is rolling into Walmarts across the nation. This chair is 100% made in the USA by our own Utah employees. Every piece, rivets and all, has been carefully designed and made to represent the Lifetime brand. Its purposeful blueprint has been crafted and honed to target our Walmart customer base, while also standing up for the strength and dependability of the Lifetime name. Though its convenient thin frame and residential grade look deceiving, our engineers have specifically made the design to be sturdy, strong, and it still continues to pass our WBP internal&nb... I had the very unpleasant experience recently of dumping excess lawn clippings directly into my garbage can. The can set out in the sun for a few days before I brought it into the garage. A few days later, WHOA! The can smelled like a skunk had stepped in dog doo-doo, rolled around in raw sewage, and then died in there. I was reminded once again, that lawn clippings should not go directly into the garbage can! I have a composter and do a fair amount of composting. To which, I add lawn clippings when I have brown material to balance it out. The ratio is 1 part green: 20 parts brown.  I am often asked by people who don’t compost if the compost stinks. The answer is no. That sounds strange because of the waste product that goes into making good compost, but it’s true. If the proportions of green and brown mater... More

How to find screaming deals using technology
WARNING! This isnt going to be your typical Lifetime365 blog post. Its going to be a bit more technical, and a lot more geeky, but dont let that scare you off. Ill try and walk you through it. To start things off, you should know that Im a computer geek, Ill admit it. What Im going to tell you now is something that us geeks have known about for a long, long time, but something that you normal people probably dont know about and even if you do, youre probably not using it this way. What is this secret technology of which I speak? Its called RSS feeds. RSS is an acronym. Id tell you what it stands for but people have been arguing over that since it first came out. Then ATOM feeds came along. All of this ties in with RDF and the semantic web. Im not going to go into that much detail, just know that when someone talks about RS...
Table Clips for Lifetime Tables - Two Packs for the Price of One!
Out of the blue, two people have mentioned table clips to me in the past few weeks. It's not exactly a popular conversation topic or product, so I'm taking that as a sign that I should blog about them! Wanna hear something else weird...both people were named Nancy. Good thing I'm not superstitious. :) My aunt Nancy was telling me how her friend was looking for table clips to fit her Lifetime table to hold her material in place for quilting. Hmmm...clever idea for you quilter's out there, huh?! And, one of our blog readers, said she was looking for table clips to fit her Lifetime tables that she uses in her restaurant with skirting on them. Just so you know, the edges of most Lifetime banquet tables are thicker than traditional wooden folding banquet tables, which makes it a little harder to find clips that fit properly. But...
Governor Herbert Visits Lifetime Factory
Well, the election is over! Now, the real work begins. Here in Utah, Governor Herbert was re-elected to a second term. And during his acceptance speech, he mentioned empowering the private sector to grow the economy and how Utah is doing better than about any place in America. To learn more about the manufacturing private sector, Governor Herbert actually toured our factory here in the Freeport Center last week. He first met briefly with our president, Richard Hendrickson, to gain insight on how government can better help Utah manufacturing companies and then he addressed a small group of Lifetime employees saying, Lifetime Products is a great example of a homegrown Utah business competing successfully in a global marketplace. Their commitment to innovation and providing quality products keeps hundreds of Utahns employed and ...
