Every Lifetime product has its niche and purpose. Every market niche has a need. For the past two years, we’ve been designing, re-thinking, and bringing new definition to the residential tables and chairs market. And now, the first Residential-grade Lifetime chair is rolling into Walmarts across the nation. This chair is 100% made in the USA by our own Utah employees. Every piece, rivets and all, has been carefully designed and made to represent the Lifetime brand. Its purposeful blueprint has been crafted and honed to target our Walmart customer base, while also standing up for the strength and dependability of the Lifetime name. Though its convenient thin frame and residential grade look deceiving, our engineers have specifically made the design to be sturdy, strong, and it still continues to pass our WBP internal&nb... I had the very unpleasant experience recently of dumping excess lawn clippings directly into my garbage can. The can set out in the sun for a few days before I brought it into the garage. A few days later, WHOA! The can smelled like a skunk had stepped in dog doo-doo, rolled around in raw sewage, and then died in there. I was reminded once again, that lawn clippings should not go directly into the garbage can! I have a composter and do a fair amount of composting. To which, I add lawn clippings when I have brown material to balance it out. The ratio is 1 part green: 20 parts brown.  I am often asked by people who don’t compost if the compost stinks. The answer is no. That sounds strange because of the waste product that goes into making good compost, but it’s true. If the proportions of green and brown mater... More

Lifetime Wheelbarrows makes light work of big projects
Look out the window, spring is here time to get digging, planting, transplanting, and hauling wait, hauling? Yup, youre going to have to move all that compost, all those pavers and blocks, potted shrubs, soil, bags of fertilizer, mountains of mulch the list goes on and on, but it all needs to be done, and lets face it, packing it my hand just isnt a viable option! Thats where wheelbarrows come in to play. Sometimes called a garden cart or garden wagon, a wheelbarrow fills a much needed role in any backyard or landscaping project. Traditional wheelbarrows typically have one wheel at the front of the basket, leaving you to life the weight of the load on the pivot point of the wheel. Sure, its easie...

Where do you pay bills? In a recent survey of my newsletter readers, 43% said they pay bills in their home office/study/den and 45% said they pay bills in the kitchen, living room, dining room or bedroom (the remaining 12% pay bills outside the home). Having a designated home office space makes it simpler and easier to handle incoming mail and paperwork, organize bill paying, and manage your household. But what if you dont have an entire room that you can dedicate for your workspace? In many homes, the kitchen or dining room table does double duty as a home office. The biggest hitch with this solution is that papers tend to accumulate on the table, leaving nowhere for the family to eat! Its not just you who needs to pay bills and manage mail; your children also need a place to do their homework. What if you could quickly se...
