During this time of the year with all the barbeques, fireworks, apple pies, and small-town parades that feature one lame local advertisement after another (did I just say that?),  it’s easy to look over the reason for the wonderful holiday we’ve reduced to “The 4th of July,” or INDEPENDENCE DAY as I prefer to call it. This is a great country. Not only have any of my grandparents and long-past relatives fought for the freedoms and liberty we have, but I’ve been blessed with the ability to be raised in this beautiful country—diverse and unique as it is. From the very beginning, it’s been a country of promise and opportunity for many—and, from our founding, Lifetime Products has been a proud American manufacturer. Like many before us, and during our beginnings, we started o... More

I don’t know about you, but the 4th of July has got to be one of my favorite holidays! First, we get to celebrate how lucky we are to live in such a great country, second I absolutely love fireworks, and third….who doesn’t love a good BBQ? Lifetime always seems to make products that make these fun events and family gatherings easier and more convenient. Lifetime tables are used all over the world and easy to recognize - I’m sure you’ve seen our white plastic tables that are available in many major retailers. However, did you know we also make a variety of specialty and recreational tables that range in size, color and function? Did you know we have tables that include metal racks for grilling, or barbequing? Did you know we make tables that include benches that hook to the bottom of the table... More

The Fourth of July holiday will shortly be upon us; the holiday that seems to be the official launch of summer, sunburns, and water fights. With all the fun comes parades, BBQs, family reunions—the things we look forward to all year long. Whatever the event, you’re going to need seating and Lifetime has what you need. One of my favorites is the Lifetime 6-Foot Picnic Table. This sturdy table has been on my patio for years. Although it’s foldable for storage, I rarely put it away during the winter and it still looks great. The kids use it for projects, birthday parties, and general mess making (as you know how kids are). But with a quick wipe-down or spray from the hose it looks good enough to use at the family or neighborhood BBQ celebration. Now’s the time to pull out the grill, cook up some great ... More

Having trouble finding the perfect gift for your dad? Well, if your dad is anything like my dad, a folding table is the perfect option. I know that on the surface, a folding table might seem like something for dinner parties, games, or entertaining, but it also makes the perfect outdoor project table. My dad always seems to have some kind of project going on – whether it’s working in the yard, fixing cars or motorcycles, or the many projects around our house. And it seems like he always has a Lifetime Table there helping him out. Lifetime tables are perfect for the many projects he has. They’re lightweight, yet super durable. They’re stain resistant and easy to clean, powder coated and UV protected for outdoor use, and Lifetime tables come in a variety of sizes - so we have the perfect table for your ... More

Bill Cosby had it right. Yes, many of us dads are the “fun ones,” the “jokesters,” and the “dress up dolls.” There are fathers all over the world “who get things they can’t use and . . . don’t want.” With Father’s Day coming up I wanted to offer some suggestions for things that Dad actually wants: Want – Deck Box. Give dad a Lifetime Deck Box so he has somewhere to quickly put away all of the kid’s toys left on the lawn. Keep them safe so he doesn't hit them with the lawn mower anymore. So, really . . . it’s a gift that keeps giving.  Don’t Want – Another light-up, pink, paisley, or superhero tie. It’s just another burp rag for the baby to spit up on. Want – New shed to store all the yard tools in. You know ... More

The NBA Finals are hours away. Who do you have? Either way I think this is going to be an exciting rematch from the 2013 finals. Finals rematches don't come around too often so make sure you watch history in the making. The Spurs are coming for redemption and Heat are trying for a three-peat. The NBA Finals are always an exciting time of year in my house. We like to grill up BBQ for dinner and watch the games as a family. After the games, get out on a Lifetime Basketball system and shoot some hoops with the family to bring it home. More

How Do You Move A 500lb Bouncy Castle?
A few weeks ago my little girl turned 4 years old. We celebrated with a Tinkerbell themed party at our house. The birthday girl loved the Tinkerbell cake I made, and the other party girls were thrilled with the handmade Tinkerbell fairy skirts I hid in the trees for them and the sparkle pixie dust I sprayed on each of them. But, despite my best fairy efforts, the true hit of the party was the bouncy castlethat my husband decided we "absolutely needed" to rent at very the last minute.Sigh.He was right, the kids (and some adults) jumped non-stop. If you've never rented a bouncy castle, these things are huge and heavy! When they loaded it into our truck at the rental facility, they actually used a forklift. Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of a forklift at our house. So, how in the world did we manage to get the 500lb def...
Keeping Kids’ Safety in Mind
Spring is in the air―at least here in Utah. The neighborhood is slowly coming back to life as kids and their parents are reemerging from their indoor hibernation. Time to find the bicycle pump and rollerblade knee pads because, at last, the kids can go outside and play! With the comeback of Spring also comes a greater need for drivers to be aware of the little ones out and about. To this end, Lifetime is introducing a new product this season, the Child Alert sign. This unique sign is shaped like a small child chasing after a soccer ball. Chucky, as we affectionately refer to him, is bright construction orange and carries a sign that says slow. His base is made similar to the portable bases that Lifetime made famous with our basketball systems, and can be filled with water or sand for even more stability. If youre like me, ...
