At Lifetime, Commitment, Innovation, and Quality, is more than just a slogan, it is a way of doing business!   We are constantly working to take our kayaks to the next level, above and beyond what is already out there.  We take suggestions and advice from you, the people who use our kayaks, and incorporate that into our designs.  After a lot of hard work we’ve come up with a kayak that is like nothing you’ve ever seen!I would like to introduce our brand new tandem kayak, the Kokanee!  It is 10'6" in length and can hold a combined weight of 425 lbs!  Sure, there are other tandem kayaks out there, but nothing as innovative and paddler friendly as our Kokanee.  We racked our brains to come up with new improvements.  We wanted to do something that wasn’t out there al... This giveaway had ended. Spring is finally starting to show up and give us hope for a warmer world! It's funny how by late Fall I am tired of yard work, but by Spring, I am itching to get out there and pull some weeds. Like for many of you, it seems to me that the yard projects never end. This season, we at Lifetime are excited to announce another innovative product to help you get those yard chores done. The Lifetime Garden Caddy. Here is how my typical time working in the yard is spent: I go to my Lifetime Shed and pull out my Lifetime Wheel Barrow. Then I climb, fall, and otherwise search for the tools I am going to need for my project throughout my shed. To carry them all to the worksite I put them in my wheel barrow usually losing the shovel or other tool along the way. Finally ready to work, I empty out the tools ... More

Labor Day Fun
I always look forward to Labor Day with such mixed emotions. Naturally, I love having the three-day weekend and having my hubby home for an extra day of fun or to-do projects. But, it also means summer is officially over.:( My son, Nathan, started preschool today so we wanted to spend our Labor Day weekend enjoying the last remaining hours of summer freedom. We took the kids swimming one day and we also took them to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. So much fun! Nathan was tall enough to ride a few of the adult roller coasters this year so that made it even more exciting for all of us. (Wow, there is nothing more heartwarming than watching your child grin literally ear-to-ear all day long from having such genuine fun and thrills!) But, just like my last post, our adventure started off with Lifetime! Its everywhere! To enter Six Fla...
How to Play Kayak Football
Last week, I had the fun opportunity to tag along with the Lifetime marketing and graphic design teams to test the new Lifetime kayakson Willard Bay, a lake just north of the Lifetime headquarters in Utah. I've kayaked before, but this was my first time trying out the Lifetime kayaks. We were using the Calypso and Daylite models, which are identical 8' molds with the exception of the type of backrest and color. Personally, I preferred the Daylite model because the backrest felt more comfortable to me since it came up a bit higher. And, the feature of being able to store valuables inside the backrest is pretty handy, too. As we've mentioned before, Lifetime kayaks are designed specifically for beginners and are, consequently, extremely stable. In fact, they are so stable that even when the photographer's dog would jump on a ka...
Winter Kayak Storage Tips
Its that time of year again for a lot of us. Time to store that kayak away for the cold cold winter. We are often asked about how to store a kayak while it is not being used, especially during the chilly winter months. So today, I am here to offer up some winter kayak advice! First piece of advice, kayaks are not for sledding! They go fast but they dont like the cold, so keep them off of the snow! Ok, now for the real tips. As always, make sure you wash your kayak after use. This is especially important when you will be putting it into storage for several months. Mild dish soap and water works just fine, no need for fancy cleaners. Make sure you remove sand and dirt, even from those little crevices. And, just think about how nice it will be to pull this baby out in the spring for its maiden run when it is so squeaky clean! ...
