Well, the election is over! Now, the real work begins. Here in Utah, Governor Herbert was re-elected to a second term. And during his acceptance speech, he mentioned empowering the private sector to grow the economy and how Utah is doing better than about any place in America. To learn more about the manufacturing private sector, Governor Herbert actually toured our factory here in the Freeport Center last week. He first met briefly with our president, Richard Hendrickson, to gain insight on how government can better help Utah manufacturing companies and then he addressed a small group of Lifetime employees saying, “Lifetime Products is a great example of a homegrown Utah business competing successfully in a global marketplace. Their commitment to innovation and providing quality products keeps hundreds of Utahns employ... More

I'm not a wedding expert, but I think it's safe to say that wedding gifts have changed over the years.  Or, at least the way we decide what to give as a wedding gift.  Today, the happy couple typically registers at their favorite store for gifts they want or think they need for their new home.  So, a majority of gift givers simply pick something off the list or give a gift card so the couple can make their own purchase.  Sure, this method has some advantages.  But, in most instances, gone are the days of creative gift giving.  Case and point… I can't remember the last time I was at a wedding and saw a card table and chairs sitting there as a gift.  But apparently, once upon a time, a card table and chairs was a popular wedding gift.  We had numerous entrants to this month's givea... Man, how time flies! It’s been almost six months since our annual service project with the Utah Botanical Center. If you aren’t aware, every year around one thousand Lifetime employees give back to the local community by participating in our community service project. It’s something I look forward to each year and this year was no different; we helped clean and beautify the Utah State University Botanical Center in Kaysville, Utah. I’ve had the chance to stop by a couple times since the service project in May and was amazed at how much we accomplished. I also spoke to Dave Anderson from the USU Botanical Center to get a quick update on our main project at the service project, the Food Bank Garden we planted. The garden is used to teach individuals about gardening and the harvested items are donated to ... More

Happy Earth Day!
It's time once again to celebrate ourwonderousEarth. Scrapbooks With A Click Of A Mouse
We headed up to Dallas this past weekend to visit my in-laws. My sister-in-law is a Director and Consultant for Creative Memories, a scrapbooking company. Personally, Ive always been anti-scrapbooking because I detest never-ending projects! Im a person that likes to see the fruits of my labor and I want to be able to relish in the feeling of accomplishment and productivity when I see a project completed. Plus, Im way too anal retentiveI hate cutting and gluing my pictures, I feel like Im ruining them. I also loathe messes so Id spend way more time cleaning up and organizing my supplies than working on my scrapbook! But, there is a new scrapbooking fad that is a little more up my allydigital scrapbooks! No fancy-schmancy paper, no glue or embellishments, no cutting pictures required. Apparently, its all the rage. My sister-in...
