At Lifetime, we  strongly believe that part of our corporate responsibility as a successful business is to support our local community.  So, I am excited to tell you that this Memorial Day we will, once again, be hosting our "Salute Our Troops" event! This event will be held only at our Lifetime Store location in Riverdale, Utah.  On Memorial Day, 5 percent of our proceeds will be donated to the Utah Military Families Foundation (UMFF), a privately-funded non-profit organization headquartered at Hill Air Force Base that supports over 80,000 military families throughout Utah. Each year Las Vegas hosts the Annual National Hardware Show where thousands of manufacturers and retailer buyers gather to show off the latest and greatest “home after market” products, which means all the products sold for the home, after the home is built. I was able to attend the (66th Annual) show this year and it was amazing to see the variety of new and exciting products. It was an opportunity for Lifetime to flaunt our own innovations. We met with all of our major retailer accounts, to show and demonstrate our newest innovations. Focusing mainly on our Lawn & Garden products, we displayed our sheds, picnic tables, raised garden beds, composters, Adirondack chairs, glider bench, convertible bench, 130-gallon storage box and 80-gallon storage box. The response on these products has been phenomenal! Life... More

Recently, Lifetime participated in a program with a Northern Utah paper, the Davis County Clipper. The Clipper told us about a special program where children create advertisments for local businesses in order to win a contest. Because children are a big part of our business, the Lifetime Store locations just had to get involved!  Ask any of our store associates about kids, and they can easily tell you all the kids they have met as their families shop for playgrounds, teeter-totters, basketball hoops, and more. Everyone knows that the best place to get a playground in Utah is the Lifetime Store.  I helped to gather the entries for this contest, it was so fun to see all the entries from kids in our own community. Congrats on all the entrants! They were all ... More

It's been almost a week now, but my head is still spinning from all of our excitement last week! We started the week with a fantastic 25th Anniversary Event at our factory. Then, immediately after the event, the Lifetime Sales and Marketing Team, lead product engineers, and some leaders from other departments held their annual sales meeting. This conference is a chance for a group of us at Lifetime to communicate, review our progress from the past year, and preview what's planned for our products and business in the coming years. We present and discuss new products, new accounts, manufacturing innovations, international growth, marketing, and more. If I had to sum up this years meeting in one word, it would be: WOW! You won't believe the list of new products we are rolling o... More

We blew out the candles so it must be official… Lifetime is 25 years old!  As you know, we're celebrating all year long with sales, giveaways, and more. And, last Monday, we held a special 25 Year Anniversary Event at our factory headquarters in the Clearfield Freeport Center. Personally, I'm still amazed at how quickly we transformed a factory assembly line warehouse that was running on Friday into a trendy industrial meeting facility for the event on Monday. The place was decked out with product displays and live jazz music! Check out the pictures, pretty cool, huh?  And, yes, it was back to an assembly line by Tuesday! Nearly 400 people attended our celebration, including Lifetime's partners, suppliers, and local community leaders. Our guests of honor included Utah Lt. Gov. Greg Bell and Clearfi... More

One of the most frequently asked questions I hear at Lifetime as a member of the Tables & Chairs team is:  "How much weight will this folding table hold?"  That's a pretty loaded question, no pun intended.  You would think the answer would be pretty cut-and-dry.  Truth is, it's actually quite complicated.  But, as part of my continuing series on what features to look for when picking the perfect folding table, today I'm going to help answer that question while helping you understand why durability is so important to consider when buying a folding table. So, as a shopper, where should you start to try and figure out which table is strong enough for your needs?  First, before you purchase a folding table, think about what you primarily want to use the table for.  Paper crafts may not requ... January is National Puzzle Month
I was just reading the latest issue of Better Homes Gardens magazine and noticed that January is National Puzzle Month. Who knew? For the life of me, I cant find any information regarding who actually declared this celebration or started it, but Ill go along with it. (If you know the background, leave us a comment and please share!) Personally, I LOVE jigsaw puzzles. In fact, my husband and I put one together every year as part of our Christmas traditions. This year was no different. I set up my Lifetime card table and Lifetime folding chairs in our living room and we started our masterpiece. This was my first year using our new Lifetime card table for our annual puzzle tradition and it worked great. The Lifetime card table is extra big (37 compared to most card tables that are 33 or 34) which means there was ample assembly...

Be sure to always go over the race rules with all participants before you beginof which the most important one should be to drive safe and obey all traffic laws!
