All Lifetime Sheds are very durable and built to last, but if you happen to live in an area that receives an excessive amount of snowfall and/or high winds, the engineers at Lifetime Products have designed a special shed accessory especially with you in mind--our shed weather kits!  We are now offering a Snow Load Kit for the Lifetime 8 ft and 11 ft storage sheds, as well as an Extreme Weather Kit for the 8 ft storage sheds. (Please note that these kits are not compatible with the Lifetime garden style sheds in which the doors are located in the longer side.) The Snow Load Kit consists of steel brackets to reinforce the roof truss and increase the snow load weight capacity of your 8 ft or 11 ft storage shed roof to 30 lbs per square foot.  The Extreme Weather Kit for the 8 ft storage shed includes bracket rein... Wow! When we announced we were hosting our biggest giveaway of the year, your entries started rolling in fast!  Not only did we give away our BIGGEST type of product we make, we also had the biggest number of entries to date.  We asked you to simply tell us how you would use a Lifetime shed and, boy, did we get an earful.   Lawn and garden equipment topped the list as the most popular items people planned to keep in a Lifetime shed. However, storing outdoor toys and bikes, garage stuff and tools, extra kids' clothes, and holiday decorations were also frequently mentioned.   We even had some creative plans including to use the shed for a workshop, a "man cave", a playhouse, storing boat equipment, storing pool equipment, hiding a water tank, and keeping firewood ...  Using a composter is a great way to reduce, reuse, and recycle yard and kitchen waste.  Unfortunately, humans aren't the only ones who have figured out the benefits of composting…pests and rodents have, too!  I frequently hear on Twitter and online forums from people who have squirrels, rats, and other pesky critters taking advantage of the free dining facility in their backyard composter.   Eeeew! As unpleasant as that may be, I do have good news...  we've designed the Lifetime Compost Tumbler to be pest-proof!  How?  First, we made it a little trickier for pests to climb onto a Lifetime Composter bin by raising it off the ground on a weather-resistant steel frame.  But, even if critters do manage to make it onto the bin of a Lifetime Composter,  the double-walled, h... An all new www.Lifetime.com
Over here at Lifetime Products Mission Control, we try to keep our flagship website up-to-date not only with the latest content, but also with the latest in techology and design. When we visit websites we tend to like the ones that frequently update their content; have a clean, easy to use navigation scheme; and are fun to interact with. We think these kinds of sites encourage people to come back (that's called "repeat viewership" in web lingo) and to explore the site (that's called "multiple page views"). So, we added some flash, we added some interesting articles, and much more before wrapping it all up in a fancy new design that we hope you'll love! Why don't you head on over to www.Lifetime.com, surf around a little bit, then come back here and let us know what you think!

Water Balloon Fun...1...2...3...Throw!
Summer is quickly winding down. But, thankfully, August is one of the hottest months so there are still plenty of days left to squeeze in some last minute authentic summer fun. Here in Texas, its been crazy hot. Ok, insanely hot something unbelievable like 35 days over 100 degrees before August even started! I was tired of simply heading to the pool or waterpark to stay cool, so the other day I surprised my kids with some good ol fashioned water balloons. Sure, it took twice as long to fill them up as it did to throw them, but it was worth it to see the smiles on their faces and hear their giggles. My son had fun trying to throw them at me, while my daughter just liked dropping them on the grass and watching them pop. I grew up playing with water balloons by having a simple water balloon toss contest. However, my neighbor...
