All Lifetime Sheds are very durable and built to last, but if you happen to live in an area that receives an excessive amount of snowfall and/or high winds, the engineers at Lifetime Products have designed a special shed accessory especially with you in mind--our shed weather kits!  We are now offering a Snow Load Kit for the Lifetime 8 ft and 11 ft storage sheds, as well as an Extreme Weather Kit for the 8 ft storage sheds. (Please note that these kits are not compatible with the Lifetime garden style sheds in which the doors are located in the longer side.) Wow! When we announced we were hosting our biggest giveaway of the year, your entries started rolling in fast!  Not only did we give away our BIGGEST type of product we make, we also had the biggest number of entries to date.  We asked you to simply tell us how you would use a Lifetime shed and, boy, did we get an earful.   Lawn and garden equipment topped the list as the most popular items people planned to keep in a Lifetime shed. However, storing outdoor toys and bikes, garage stuff and tools, extra kids' clothes, and holiday decorations were also frequently mentioned.   We even had some creative plans including to use the shed for a workshop, a "man cave", a playhouse, storing boat equipment, storing pool equipment, hiding a water tank, and keeping firewood ...  Using a composter is a great way to reduce, reuse, and recycle yard and kitchen waste.  Unfortunately, humans aren't the only ones who have figured out the benefits of composting…pests and rodents have, too!  I frequently hear on Twitter and online forums from people who have squirrels, rats, and other pesky critters taking advantage of the free dining facility in their backyard composter.   Eeeew! As unpleasant as that may be, I do have good news...  we've designed the Lifetime Compost Tumbler to be pest-proof!  How?  First, we made it a little trickier for pests to climb onto a Lifetime Composter bin by raising it off the ground on a weather-resistant steel frame.  But, even if critters do manage to make it onto the bin of a Lifetime Composter,  the double-walled, h... National Basketball Day
Today is unofficially National Basketball Day. It was on November 6, 1861 that James Naismith was born. Thirty years later, Naismith was a young physical education teacher at a YMCA in Massachusetts with bored students who needed an indoor athletic distraction during the winter. Naismith decided to nail two peach baskets to the balcony at both ends of a gymnasium. He divided his students into teams and they attempted to toss a ball into the basketsthe game of basketball was born. According to notes kept by Naismith about the first "Basket Ball" game, the game was played with nine players on each team using a soccer ball. Today, even though the rules and equipment have changed slightly, basketball is played by more than 300 million people worldwide, making it one of the most popular team sports. James Naismith may have inven...

Pull out the grill, cook up some food, and watch some fireworks! The Official Kick-Off of Summer
The Fourth of July holiday will shortly be upon us; the holiday that seems to be the official launch of summer, sunburns, and water fights. With all the fun comes parades, BBQs, family reunionsthe things we look forward to all year long. Whatever the event, youre going to need seating and Lifetime has what you need. One of my favorites is the Lifetime 6-Foot Picnic Table. This sturdy table has been on my patio for years. Although its foldable for storage, I rarely put it away during the winter and it still looks great. The kids use it for projects, birthday parties, and general mess making (as you know how kids are). But with a quick wipe-down or spray from the hose it looks good enough to use a...
