All Lifetime Sheds are very durable and built to last, but if you happen to live in an area that receives an excessive amount of snowfall and/or high winds, the engineers at Lifetime Products have designed a special shed accessory especially with you in mind--our shed weather kits!  We are now offering a Snow Load Kit for the Lifetime 8 ft and 11 ft storage sheds, as well as an Extreme Weather Kit for the 8 ft storage sheds. (Please note that these kits are not compatible with the Lifetime garden style sheds in which the doors are located in the longer side.) The Snow Load Kit consists of steel brackets to reinforce the roof truss and increase the snow load weight capacity of your 8 ft or 11 ft storage shed roof to 30 lbs per square foot.  The Extreme Weather Kit for the 8 ft storage shed includes bracket rein... Wow! When we announced we were hosting our biggest giveaway of the year, your entries started rolling in fast!  Not only did we give away our BIGGEST type of product we make, we also had the biggest number of entries to date.  We asked you to simply tell us how you would use a Lifetime shed and, boy, did we get an earful.   Lawn and garden equipment topped the list as the most popular items people planned to keep in a Lifetime shed. However, storing outdoor toys and bikes, garage stuff and tools, extra kids' clothes, and holiday decorations were also frequently mentioned.   We even had some creative plans including to use the shed for a workshop, a "man cave", a playhouse, storing boat equipment, storing pool equipment, hiding a water tank, and keeping firewood ...  Using a composter is a great way to reduce, reuse, and recycle yard and kitchen waste.  Unfortunately, humans aren't the only ones who have figured out the benefits of composting…pests and rodents have, too!  I frequently hear on Twitter and online forums from people who have squirrels, rats, and other pesky critters taking advantage of the free dining facility in their backyard composter.   Eeeew! As unpleasant as that may be, I do have good news...  we've designed the Lifetime Compost Tumbler to be pest-proof!  How?  First, we made it a little trickier for pests to climb onto a Lifetime Composter bin by raising it off the ground on a weather-resistant steel frame.  But, even if critters do manage to make it onto the bin of a Lifetime Composter,  the double-walled, h... Stinky
The basement, after almost two years of work, is finally finished. We are very happy with the way it turned out. This past Saturday I decided to move my tools out of the basement and into the garage, which meant that I needed to organize the garage to fit everything. I have been parking my car out in the driveway for the past year and-a-half because my side of the garage has been used to store stuff from the basement.I strive to be a minimalist but with a wife and two kids you are bound to accumulate stuff. Fortunately, I recently purchased a Lifetime Fold-in-half trailer. Well actually... my dad bought the trailer for himself but I claim it as mine whenever I need it. He also stores it at his house which isnt that big a deal since folds up to only 29 wide. With the wife and kids gone I wanted to get started on the cleaning ...
Lt. Gov. Bell Congratulates Lifetime on 25 Years!
We blew out the candles so it must be official Lifetime is 25 years old! As you know, we're celebrating all year long with sales, giveaways, and more. And, last Monday, we held a special 25 Year Anniversary Event at our factory headquarters in the Clearfield Freeport Center.Personally, I'm still amazed at how quickly we transformed a factory assembly line warehouse that was running on Friday into a trendy industrial meeting facility for the event on Monday. The place was decked out with product displays and live jazz music!Check out the pictures, pretty cool, huh? And, yes, it was back to an assembly line by Tuesday! Nearly 400 people attended our celebration, including Lifetime's partners, suppliers, and local community leaders. Our guests of honor included Utah Lt. Gov. Greg Bell and Clearfield City Mayor Don Wood. We were...
Top 3 Things We Learned When Assembling Our Lifetime Basketball Hoop
So, a few weeks ago, Iwroteabout our decision to buy a Lifetime Portable Basketball Hoop - Model 90228. Well, it's assembled, up, and the kids are loving it. When the box arrived, the kids couldn't wait for us to put it together. The cool thing about Lifetime basketball hoops is even though it's a pretty large product, it's actually packaged all in one box. Granted, it's a big box (size varies slightly depending on the size of backboard you buy). But, it easily fits in an SUV and probably in the trunk of most mid-sized cars. By the way, did you know Lifetime actually invented packaging basketball hoops in one box? Really, they did! Back in 1992. It may seem like a novel idea now, but that invention made it so basketball hoops could be sold in mass retail markets like Walmart andchain sporting goods stores. Before that, you c...
