Living in a small space doesn’t mean you can’t entertain family and friends comfortably. With a bit of thought and preparation, you can host enjoyable gatherings no matter the size of your house or apartment. In a small space a simple approach is best, so take note of these 8 tips to get you up and running in no time. Un-clutter: Move furniture and large plants to the sides of your rooms to create more floor space. Keep it simple by removing any clutter, knick-knacks, etc. to give a more open feel. Use as much natural light as possible. Open up: If you have outdoor space like a terrace, patio, deck or small backyard, use it. Leave your patio door open and set-up a seating group or table and chairs to increase space. Fill it up: If your place will hold 10 people, invite 16-18. It is unusual for every invited gue... More

On Feb 6, 2010 Lifetime Products held its 42nd bi-annual Profit Sharing Meeting. If you’re like me, and don’t know what profit sharing is when you first hear of it, let me explain. Profit Sharing is a program where a company shares a portion of the year’s profit with its employees. At Lifetime, everyone is involved with Profit Sharing and we all get the exact same amount (with the exception of people that have been with the company for less than a year or have not met performance requirements). Lifetime's Profit Sharing meeting is also a report on the company. Both the Lifetime Products President Richard Hendrickson and Owner/CEO take the opportunity to update us on company initiatives, company goals and values, and new products. In this meeting we learned that Lifetime is still completely de... More

Arcade basketball games can be found everywhere from bowling alleys and shopping malls, to family rooms, and Lifetime Products is joining in the fun by offering the all-new Lifetime Double Shot basketball arcade game. Arcade games became popular back in the roaring ‘20s when they first appeared in the midways of bustling amusement parks where visitors were invited to test their agility and coordination to win the grand prize. Today’s home arcade players may not win a giant stuffed panda, but they still find that these games are a great way to relax and enjoy some friendly competition. While there are several basketball arcade games on the market to choose from, the engineers at Lifetime have designed innovative features for the Lifetime Double Shot to ensure friendlier usability, safety, and convenience. All thes... More

Have you ever seen a garage that is so jam-packed with boxes and other stuff that there’s no room to park a car in there? Wait. . .did I just describe your garage? In Arizona, where I’ve lived for the last seven years, basements and attics are a rarity, which leaves the garage as the sole storage place. Not surprisingly, we see a lot of cars parked in the driveway! But it doesn’t have to be that way.  Assuming that you would LIKE to be able to park your car in your garage, let me ask you a few questions: What’s in your garage?  A lot of things that end up in our garage are there because we just didn’t have the courage to keep walking them to the curb. Look around. What do you see? To get a really good idea of what you have, group like items; for example, lawn and garden, camping equip... More

About a week ago, six of our Lifetime employees (mostly Engineers and Information Technicians) volunteered to help judge the Weber School District Science Fair. The two-day fair took place at Weber State University with more than 700 students ranging from sixth to twelfth grade. Judges reviewed the exhibits and interviewed students on their use of scientific thought, methods, visual appearance and creativity.Categories included: Behavioral Studies, Botany, Chemistry, Earth & Space, Energy & Transportation, Engineering & Computer Science, Environmental, Medicine & Health, Microbiology, Physics & Math and Zoology. The fair brought in an average of 200 to 300 people which included parents, college students and the general public. Each of the judges had fun learning about the different subjects from how safe... How would you like to win this hot pink Lifetime kids' picnic table for your child on Valentine's Day?  This picnic table can be used indoors or outdoors and is just the right size for children to eat snacks or make crafts. Don't worry about messes because the plastic tabletop is stain resistant and easy-to-clean. And, one of my favorite features is that it folds flat for easy storage and transport. So, how do you enter to win this exclusive picnic table that's not available in stores and valued at $80?  Well, we've made it pretty easy to enter our first contest. How to... More

Two weeks ago,  Lifetime unveiled its latest product - the EcoHouse.  Just so you know, this isn't our normal type of product that is available for consumers to purchase in retail stores.   Nope, the Lifetime EcoHouse will be manufactured and distributed to provide housing for impoverished or disaster-stricken areas.  Pretty cool, huh? So, what makes this shelter so revolutionary?  Well, first off, it's a 377 sq ft building that ships on four pallets and can be assembled in only 72 man hours.  And, it can be built with sustainable electric, plumbing, and waste management -  which means households have no need to pay for utilities!   Perfect for disaster-stricken and impoverished areas.  The shelter can be configured in multiple ways for use as a four-room home, a... An all new www.Lifetime.com
Over here at Lifetime Products Mission Control, we try to keep our flagship website up-to-date not only with the latest content, but also with the latest in techology and design. When we visit websites we tend to like the ones that frequently update their content; have a clean, easy to use navigation scheme; and are fun to interact with. We think these kinds of sites encourage people to come back (that's called "repeat viewership" in web lingo) and to explore the site (that's called "multiple page views"). So, we added some flash, we added some interesting articles, and much more before wrapping it all up in a fancy new design that we hope you'll love! Why don't you head on over to www.Lifetime.com, surf around a little bit, then come back here and let us know what you think!
Just My Size!
Kids have a way of doing things that just make you smile. Its always surprising and amusing how even the tiniest of tots can be pretty resourceful. Take, for instance,my daughters witty idea a few weeks ago when we visited my family in Ohio. While we were up at their lake house, we ate almost every meal outside to enjoy the lake view and the beautiful weather. Plus, with six adults and five kids, we simply had more table space outside than inside. Typically, the adults would always sit at my parents patio table and chairswhile the kids would eat at the 6 Lifetime picnic table. Even though it wasnt a childrens Lifetime picnic table, all of the kiddos could reach just fine, except for my two-year-old daughter, Alyssa. She loves being like the big kids though so dont think for a second that size would stop her! Nope, usually...
Narrow 18" Table Saves Space
We all use folding tables for a variety of reasons. Just think of how you use your tables. You can probably think of a few different uses, right? At Lifetime, we provide affordable quality tables in all shapes and sizes for that exact reason. For dining and eating, a standard banquet style table works really well - the 30-inch wide surface provides the right amount of space to lay out the food and still give you room for plates and table settings across from each other. Now, the question I pose today is what about the times when you just need to display food in a buffet style and you need to keep the table out of the way?Well, a great option for you would be to use one of our 18-inch wide LifetimeConference Tables as that perfect buffet table for the home, office, or church get together. This style of table is a recent addit...
